  • But still, even when you go to more politically aware places (like lemmy), you'll get mocked for suggesting America is rules by a uniparty when it comes to American inperialism. It's unbelievably fucking stupid.

  • And their body parts as well

  • So taxing the rich is an unstable temporary solution, and more fundamental changes are required.

  • We hit a tipping point though, where 99% of people do not have any capital to risk

When do you think this tipping point was? Because as far as I can tell this was around the French revolution.

  • Omg are you an llm?

  • The user experience of GrapheneOS is basically the same as vanilla Android, except that you have more control (you can uninstall google apps, for example), but at the cost of a small minority of apps (banking ones, for example) not working (out of the box, sometimes at all). My banking app works, and a quick google search will tell you if yours does too. If your old pixel is not too old (4 is no longer supported, 8 definitely is, not sure abt in between), you should give it a go. I think you'll see it's not as big of a step as you maybe currently imagine.

  • If this ever happens, watch the liberal media still ask people they condemn khamas when talking about this.

  • Alright you do you

  • Watch that rat fuck run as independent to split the vote.

  • I'm not saying it to be catty, I don't really have a dog in this fight. I know very little about early 20th century European politics, and even to me it is obvious who in this conversation has read books on the topic, and who's maybe read a wikipedia page if anything. I honestly believe your life (and that of those around you) would improve if you worked on being more self-critical. You're coming off as the guy in the typical mansplain story where a guy at a party explains to the author of a book that she's misinterpteting her own book.

  • I think you need to work on recognizing when you're in over your head.

  • Wait, am I not forced to pay taxes? And isn't any progressive tax by definition redistribution? United States confirmed as socialist, you heard it here first!

  • I don't know for certain, but I think you might be mixing up Kosovo and Bosnia. Because I know he illegally (by international law) bombed Yugoslavia for the Kossovar Albanians (which some argue hastened and exacerbated the ethnic cleansing of the Albanians, which aligns quite well with the timeline, especially considering there was a concrete diplomatic alternatice proposed by both sides), but he got approval for this. Famously, Bernie Sanders voted in favor. So while it should earn him a trip to the Hague, he didn't violate any domestic laws that I'm aware of.

But again, Yugoslavia in the 90s is crazy complicated, and there's so much I don't know, so maybe I'm just completely wrong here.

  • So, I like this idea, and the recent expose indicates that the stroke has essentially rendered him non compis mentis, but do you really think the brain damage turned him conservative? Were there no red flags before? I genuinely don't know enough about the guy.

    • woke bad
    • progressives good
    • religion bad
    • billionaires bad
    • bombing the middle east good

    You're enigmatic.

  • They could have impeached Clinton for Bosnia

Why? Forgive my ignorance, balkan history is hard.
