  • You can disable Snaps (and enable Flatpak) in Kubuntu from the package manager gui.

  • If your really want to go for it, you can order metal 3D prints from jlcpcb. They might require some post processing/polishing for this particular use.

You mentioned in another comment that you ordered some replacements from AliExpress. Those might last even less than the original ones. I would recommend take a look at GuliKit for good quality replacements.

  • I like how No Man's Sky implemented it:

  • I like this, and I think it should be complemented with a "Save and Quit to OS" button.

  • As NotJustBikes pointed out multiple times, we have the idea that cities are loud, but it's actually cars that are loud.

  • As you said, not every one of the 1000 board/unboard on the same stop. So, let's analyze your 100 per stop figure: The modern (subway) trains that I use daily can carry 1000 people, are roughly 120m long, and have 18 double doors per side. That's like 6 people per door, totally doable.

  • I think it's still very common in Austria

  • Exactly... And then banned them for something they did on a different community. It's crazy to have such little power and still abuse it.

  • The digital euro doesn't stop you from keeping doing it. It only replaces cash. Instead of withdrawing cash from the ATM to keep it in your wallet, you withdraw digital cash and keep it in your phone.

  • Pikachu

    Jump
  • There's nothing wrong with sunscreen in general, but they are probably referring to what happened recently in Australia:

Independent analysis by a trusted consumer advocacy group has found that several of Australia's most popular, and expensive, sunscreens are not providing the protection they claim to, kicking off a national scandal.

  • I meant they were right about being too blue. I don't think that it damages the eyes because it's blue, but I'm pretty sure a really bright light can damage your eyes.

  • I don't know about regulations, but you are right about the blue light. Most white LEDs have low CRI, and that's why things look weird with them. The reason they use low CRI LEDs is probably because they are cheaper and produce more lumens per watt.

  • Cool! Didn't know that one, thanks!

  • Yeah, the choosing when to see them is the most difficult part. I don't see that happening in the near future.

  • So basically all ads... I agree

  • The thing is that USB type C is only about the physical plug/socket, and the USB standard and version that uses it is a separate thing. In this case it's probably a PD only charger and the device only supports plain old 5v 500mA USB power
