Hello. I've been silenced, removed and blocked enough on lemmy dot ml for being a filthy leftist but not a falling in line defending totalitarian states full blown authoritarian communist. Sooo I'm blocking everything from lemmy dot ml so I don't have to be bothered with any more of that nonsense. If you are on lemmy dot ml and commenting on me I will not see it. Ta ta.

  • Honestly I'm happy the Fediverse doesn't have the Reddit user base. I'd rather try recruiting people from various forums on specific topics to the Fediverse. Like homebrewing (alcoholic beverages) is still happening in independent web forums that I think would be neat if they got federated, but I don't think they in turn are interested in a Fediverse user base.

  • And you can use the three dots menu on each link in the search results to file that a result is AI slop or otherwise not trustworthy and also filter domains from your future search results.

  • Me too, but fair warning to double check on the links if it is something niche. Perplexity can not always be trusted to interpret limited information properly. It does a pretty good job on enough for me to use it though.

  • As someone that has known many vegans over the years, there are definitely some that make it part of their core personality and make sure everybody knows. Most don't but some do. Because people are people.

  • Yeah, thanks. I did it a couple of times with the free web dev vm of Windows 10 but it is only valid for 30 days so it gets annoying quickly. After identifying the chipset in some devices I've tried to get the Linux toolkit or just the flashing tool from the manufacturers but for whatever reason they will not give it out unless you are a customer of their chipset.

  • Wouldn't this rather be the case of proxy hardware layer for any driver to talk to that gets forwarded to the USB port in Linux? I mean the drivers are not for PC component but for talking with whatever device and chipset is connected to the PC over USB.

  • I absolutely love nuts, but plenty of them are very dense in energy. Not to discourage from nuts because they are healthy though in moderation and I could easily empty any size bag of pistachios without thinking about it.
