  • This is a massive blow and while I can't help myself (I'm just doom scrolling) I would reach out to an immigration lawyer if you haven't already since you mention immigration papers, especially if you're in the USA because this seems like the perfect thing to get you detained and labeled as an illegal immigrant, "oh you don't have papers? Must be illegal"

  • I had to memorize a passage from Julius Cesar about 15 years ago and still remember it pretty well I think. In it, Brutus is confronting the rest of the conspirators towards the end of the play and calling them out for their reasons of killing Julius.

  • I've run into this a couple times and there's usually a mute button. The ones I've seen have two columns of 4 buttons and is usually column 2 button 3. It shouldn't be a thing but I make it a point to mute it every time

The world fought a war about this and we all agree the idea of massacring millions for their religious views is a bad thing. As a society we must deny tolerance to those who would take advantage of said tolerance and promote intolerance

  • Linkedin is just a hive of people trying to one up each other for internet points. If you work a 996 job and you're not paid hourly, ie you're salaried, you are 1000% getting taken advantage of. Even if you are paid hourly, the paycheck might look good but you're just going to burn yourself out to a company that will replace you in a week
