I started saying 'Passiert den besten' ('happens to the best of us') as a joke when a friend would mention a minor inconvenience or fuckup. It turned from joke to an automatic reply
typst.app is not a Latex editor.
typst has its own syntax and own compiler to generate PDFs.
the cli is FOSS (theres a great plugin for vscode), typst.app is their SaaS Overleaf-equivalent to collaborate on papers. you write .typ, not .tex files. arguably a more modern and easier to read syntax. :)
can recommend if you want something simple. its not there yet in terms of featureset, but its getting there. also its quick and the UX is leagues ahead of latex
In Germany (and I assume all throughout Europe) we solve the shopping cart problem by shoppers having to deposit a coin or chip into the cart to release it.
You get it back when you lock the cart again back where you took it
Mildly related, but maybe yakuake might be for you.
You make it start on startup. Then when pressing Ctrl alt T (or whatever you configure) it will retract/expand from the top. Can add another hotkey to open a new tab, etc
