  • IMO, you didn't get unlucky with the K1M or lucky with the P1S. That's the normal state of printers. Most printers are hard to dial in well, and the Bambu printers work like a dream out of the box. Luck is involved for anyone that didn't start in those states.

  • You can never get to "fully 3d printed" unless you can print metal, and even then the tolerances just aren't there yet.

But if you want a 3d printer that's as 3d printed as it can get, why not look at things that were designed for it, like Rook or Mulbot or The 100?

  • let’s

There's some irony for ya. :D

  • And incentivize them to raise it? No thanks!

  • I don't know about this instance, but in the general, it could be that the person is a complete fucking douche, and people are trying to stick it to them however they can. That might mean lying, blowing things out of proportion, or just slightly twisting the truth.

And once sharks smell blood, they swarm. One allegation will lead to another.

Again, I don't know the situation here and refuse to pick a side. Guilt is for the courts to decide. But there's plenty of people who will lie, cheat, and steal for money or fame.

  • I finally solved it. Voron KAMP's Voron Purge technique puts little blobs of filament on the bed. I also have Voron Tap. My tool head was hitting those blobs and moving upwards slightly, causing the extruder not to squish the filament into the bed in the same pattern as the voron logo from the purge.

My solution was to initially to move the purge further way, but that kills large parts of my bed usage. So I just wrote my own purge line script and I'm using that now.

I hope this helps you solve your problem!

  • I bought the Kobo Libra Color and I love it so far. Previously I've had various Kindles and a Meeebook P78, and I like the Kobo a lot better so far. And I'm still just using it for B&W books at the moment.

The color is pretty faded, as you'd expect from e-ink. But I do enjoy that the book covers are in color.

I was actually hoping this was going to be a cover for my model, but oh well. :)

  • I have plenty of space, and I still sold off my resin printer because of fumes, mess, and general headaches. I don't recommend it if you aren't fully prepared for what it requires to do it safely and sanely.

  • That really sucks. I really liked Moon and Mars was fun, too. I'm definitely in for the kickstarter on Home. Here's hoping they can find a publisher soon.

  • My mother lost her shop because she was selling charms (on bracelets she made) that had copyrighted/trademarked designs that she bought from China. She didn't produce the actual infringing part, just partnered it with her own stuff. She still lost her shop after a few strikes.

I assure you that Etsy is serious about that, but it takes a few reports to actually shut the shop down. If nobody else is reporting them, it could take forever.

Go ahead and report them. If they're really bad about this, they'll lose their shop immediately. Otherwise, it's a very strong warning.

Edit: Also, if you really don't mind them printing it, but want credit, release it under an appropriate license that states that. Otherwise, you're only helping unethical people and preventing ethical people from doing it.

  • I expected to find he's been uploading hate speech or something, but no... Just models that were already in the game, but not normally playable? "Inappropriate content" is the wrong label for that, if that's why they banned him. And since they won't say why, the community practically has to assume that's it. What a mistake.

  • I think they're making a mistake comparing it to those 2 games. It seems to be entirely combat-focused, and the climbing aspect is pretty minimal in that video. The whole comparison to TOTK seems to be the graphical style and that it has combat.

  • Shoulder the blame, but not the consequences? Yup, that seems about par for the course.

  • Jesus. They really think they can do anything they want, don't they? No, you can't have another company's business secrets just because you want them.

  • Covid made them improve the game considerably by making it easier for people who don't live in huge cities... But they decided to claw back all those changes and completely ignore all the people who left because of that.

Instead, they implement visual upgrades? Really?

    I'm constantly disappointed by them.

  • I would think that problem is simpler than that. If you have any legal problem with them, AI or otherwise, how do you have your lawyer contact them?

  • Initially, I agreed with you. But then I realized: These authors don't ever want their work anywhere near an AI. Their work could then easily be used for things they don't agree with.

Of course, if they publish it at all, it'll still be available to be used like that against their wishes, but at least they didn't support that directly.

I think Angry Robot should have a checkbox (checked by default, even) that allows the author to opt out of the AI-based classification process. That'll mean their story needs more effort from Angry Robot to review, so it's less likely they'll make it in... But if they have a good story, that won't matter.

  • What are you using for a probe? I've guessing the first layer problem is something subtle to do with your probe. If it's a Tap, it's probably filament on the nozzle and you'll need to clean it before each print.

  • I used an older Cura that I already had installed (instead of Orca 2 that I've been using) and the underextrusion pattern is different, but still there.
