I am really uneducated on this, and my source is fairly unreliable (my Trump voting father and city councilor), but I’ve heard that the central Oregon data centers for Apple and Facebook are cooled with wastewater intake from the nearby municipalities. The angle on that was that it’s not wasteful to clean water sources. If it’s true, that seems like a decent solution?
Please, expand on that for me. Not sure “aars stack” is enough for me to go on a research dive with. More than happy to do some sailing. I 100% has the infrastructure and technical ability.
They mean “brace” as in one of those things you attach to act as a support for structural deficiencies. They need to “brace” Nancy because she’s too old to stay upright on her own.
I only wish it had gotten worse before today so I didn’t have to go at all. That said, if it collapses before next Monday I’ll be happier, even if I have to drive 1,000 miles back home. I really don’t want to go to NYC after only a few days home from Arizona. I’m tired. Justifiable cause to cancel work flights sounds nice. I also don’t want people to get hurt, so I hope whatever happens it’s not terrible tragedy.
I don’t think anyone should comment on this post if they would do such a thing, but the economy is hard rn, lots of people losing their jobs. And ICE has a huge fucking budget next year with lots of hiring… could be a win/win for society if enough people lose their jobs and need to turn to ICE to not only get paid, but also improve society as a whole.

Plenty of evidence of mid-budget games that are hugely successful. “Indie” is now a pretty large and unhelpful term. Supergiant is a fairly large company, not just “a single guy” like in the case of Stardew Valley. Even Concerned Ape hired on a team for ongoing support and ports for Stardew. And Team Cherry may be small, but also not actually just 2 people like is the common understanding. And Astro Bot may be made by a fairly large studio owned by the biggest console platform owner but you couldn’t seriously call last year’s GOTY a “quadruple A game”. Hell, even Triple is generous.
I get the malaise and disappointment around the top 5 games all being like a decade old live service games that all make up ,ore than like 80% of the industry’s play time and revenue, but I’m pretty sure LocalThunk is feeling pretty good about their success right now. There are plenty of really great games that are not just bargain bin junk while also not being massive industry stompers like Fortnite.
Count my opinion as however invalid you feel like after knowing that I'm one of those CRT screen lovers for retro video games, but I honestly think the AI smoothing look WAY WORSE than just the low res original. I don't know why people like it more? But i guess people also like that TV motion smoothing junk that's enabled by default on new TVs too.
