Can somebody help me understand the advantages of passkeys over a password manager? Googling just brings up tons of advertising and obvious self promotion, or ELI5s that totally ignore best passwords practices using managers.
How exactly would they absorb the costs? Most of them aren't even turning a profit as it is
Edit: Not sure why the downvotes. I support the ordinance, minimum wages are great. But the cost is obviously going to the customers, where else would it go?
It's also mentioned that the amount of drivers has risen sharply since the ordinance went into effect, as drivers from surrounding areas have moved in to try to take advantage of the higher prices. So yeah, doesn't sound like the ordinance is at fault, sounds like more places just need to implement it themselves
Yes, but nobody wants to use technology 10 generations out of date. We could potentially build open, free computers on a level with those used to develop the atom bomb, but who would use them when the commercial alternatives cost pennies?
Linux is not ready for mainstream users. I daily drive Mint, have a recent (2 year old) system, and still run into annoying bugs that would drive non-techies back to Windows. My current issue is my permanently attached external hdd mounting under a new folder name every reboot. Other issues I've had to resolve include (but are not limited to) bluetooth, graphics drivers, software repos, etc. I would not want to become tech support for somebody else dealing with their random issues because I recommended Linux.
The pedestrian was first hit by a human driver, who drove off without stopping. They were knocked under the self driving car, which responded to the incident by braking ASAP. Which unfortunately stopped them on top of the victim. Calling it the fault of the AI is badly misrepresenting the situation.
