  • If you like litrpg I recommend life at reset.... Basically(no spoilers this is book 1 chapter 1) guy is head of huge guild in a mmorpg, he gets betrayed by his friend and turned into a literal monster. As it progresses it goes in several weird directions of philosophy as weird as that sounds.

  • The more of these I see, the more I agree with Everett

  • Was it a good book series? Worth reading?

  • Yeah, he fixed them.

  • Yeah, I was referencing a press conference by some gop members in I think it was Chicago airport where one stated that we should renovate the feeding rooms to fix the birth rate.

  • Actually based on the press conference the other day birth rates are down because... Airport breastfeeding spaces need to be renovated!

  • Possible but with no other evidence I would reserve judgemtof this man

  • It's fixed now

  • No problem. Thanks for fixing it.

  • Wait... While this is horrible... How did LG say anything in a January announcement when it's still December?

  • But it should be attached to his sleeve...

  • Is it just me or does this look like a photoshop/Ai as the badge on his arm doesn't contour to his name like a sewn or iron-on badge would??

  • Yeah, that's my point. I don't think we have enough people of lemmy but on other sites post a definition of Ai (or generative Ai) and you will get 100 different answers and 500 people arguing that each is an incorrect definition.

  • Look... It's only 1030 am here. I should not be as drunk as that explanation would require to understand at this time of day.

  • Thanks for confirming it's not my setup.

  • The problem is everyone is claiming "generative Ai" because they think it will result in lower costs or higher sales. No one has a official definition, I would think generative Ai is llm, another comment stated it was only about creating images and firing artists.

It's a buzz word. It's like social network a few years ago. Does Facebook count as a social network? How about steam? OK, now what about world of warcraft? Discord? What's the difference between a social network and a old school forum? All let you make friends, talk with friends and enjoy each other's company. Could be argued AIM was a social network...

  • Is it visible art? Is it written scripts? As I said in the other response would "brushing" a forest into a game world count as generative Ai?

We really need better terminology for this stuff

  • Yeah. That's a big problem in the current reality, what is "Ai" besides a sale term? Hell from the game dev world there has been a "generative Ai" for years which took "trees"(pre-made images and meshes) and allowed you to kinda "brush" a forest down which kinda looked normal as none of the trees were in straight lines or specific distances.

  • You are right but I was using it mainly for formatting, not writing the script. Granted I could of written a single purpose script to strip space, add a comma and add a new line.

I wrote the script of how to pull the data, I was mostly using it to format the lists my boss sent me.

I didn't just take the email, copy into Ai, copy result back to email and send. I wrote the script for 1 serial, asked Ai to modify it for the following 150 serials, run it in smms, then send results.

If you were my boss, would you want me to spend my time doing... Backspace, comma, enter, down arrow....150 times? Especially if you need results fast? Yeah I could but why? Unless it was just a lazy day and felt like drooling on the keyboard.
