  • It's probably not the reason for everyone but where I live, tap water has a slightly rancid taste and bottled water used to taste like it was mixed with bleach. I used to not drink water because I thought that all water tasted like that but then we got a cheap water cooler about four or five years ago and the water from it tastes much better. So, I've been drinking water from a water cooler ever since.

  • I don't intentionally use it to keep track of the games I've played but I've been using GameFAQs to keep track of older console games I have not yet played. It's not perfect for this as I need to use documents to keep track of some additional information but I have yet to find a better alternative.

For PC games, some of the platforms I use, like GOG and Itch, actually have built in features to help me to keep track of what games I haven't played yet. For the others (and mobile) I still have to use documents to keep track of this as well.

  • Is it not fully compatible with newer versions of Linux? All the gameplay and comparison videos I've seen look identical to the Windows version. I'd test it myself but I'm pretty sure my computer doesn't have the hardware to run it even on low settings.

  • Is the EULA also applicable to the Linux version, assuming that Aspyr did actually port the game to Linux and not just use Wine or something?

  • I don't use protective cases with any of my phones. I've read that phone cases can cause them to overheat, as they trap the heat in and seeing that my phones already get pretty hot after most gaming sessions, I just don't use them.

I do, however, have pop sockets for all of my phones and when I leave the house, I always carry my phones in a purse when I'm not using them.

  • This list is pretty cool but unfortunately for me, most of my devices aren't listed. Two of them are listed but the specified OSs aren't being actively updated anymore and most of the features are labeled as not working or untested.

  • Something that I'd like to see is basically something similar to "Anime Plus" but for GameFAQs.

If you are not familiar with Anime Plus, it's essentially a companion app for MyAnimeList. You put your MAL account in and it generates a temporary profile for you that contains several useful features, such as a list of anime/manga that you may have missed and recommendations for other anime/manga.

  • I know that Reddit does (at least it did back when I still used it) but I'm not sure about Lemmy. I know that Lemmy does have bot accounts for other purposes, so I guess it's not impossible but I haven't heard of or seen one here.

  • I've haven't used it before just now but the Android version of Firefox has an extension called "MobiDevTools" on their extension store. It has various web developer tools, including a developer console. For some reason it doesn't seem to open when I'm on the extension store but it works just fine with every other website I tried.

  • I know that not everyone is interested in this but I'd use it as another method to play PC games on my Android devices. Right now, JoiPlay and a few source ports I'm aware of are the only apps that I've been able to get PC games working successfully with on any of my Android devices. I've tried both Winlator and Limbo Port but I have not yet gotten a single game working correctly in either of them. Granted, I have no idea how to properly configure them, so I might just not be using them correctly.

  • Is there any information on what they mean by a "Linux based OS", like is it going to be "Linux" Linux or is it just going to be similar to android/ChromeOS? I've read a few articles about it but outside of it being called "Vega", I can't find any other information about it.

  • Yeah, it used to mount immediately after connecting but it doesn't even show up at all anymore.

  • Unfortunatly, that wont work because I can't get into the recovery menu.

  • That doesn't because it just takes me back to droidboot.

  • When I plugged it in to my computer, it didn't show up in the list of connected devices. I can try using fastboot but I have no idea what that is, can I use Linux or would I have to use Windows?

  • I acutally tried that and it will boot into the droidboot menu but it wont go into the recovery menu. So yeah, it's probably dead. But it's fine, there wasn't anything important.

  • I tried it and it just takes me back to the USB logo. It's fine if I can't recover the files, I wont lose much.

  • I just tried it and there is something called "droidboot". There are four options "reboot droidboot", "reboot", "recovery" and "power off". Should I try the recovery option?

  • Kind of an indirect answer, but I've heard people state that they vote against their own personal beliefs because they think that there needs to be a balance between "good and bad". Obviously, this is complete bullshit. Even if there should be a "balance", we already have enough problems as is, we don't need the government making it worse.

  • According to Wikipedia, it's still based on Gentoo, it just uses Debian for running Linux applications in Crostini.
