  • if anyone got that notification, there could be chances that they'd run

That right there. People who forgot to update their address and got unpaid traffic fines and stuff will settle them when they are eventually found, but the flight risk for serious criminals weighs much more.

  • Kackzapfen ist geil 🤣

  • Hm ok. Guess I'll pass then.

  • Could you share the text? Or at least a link to some website where they explain what pdf I'm downloading? Deep links to documents that might potentially contain malware are not exactly trust inspiring.

  • WikiMedia Foundation, the organization behind Wikipedia. Free knowledge for everyone seems like a pretty dope concept.

  • They've been using AAC with a variable bitrate for the last 15+ years, usually capped at 192 kbps, which is plenty. Stuff from 2009 and older might still be recorded in 128 kbps, but they've been replacing some with better quality versions as well.

  • Germany won in 2010. It's been 15 years, but that's far from ancient history.

  • Just moved abroad for the first time.

  • In which country is that? I've used my phone for navigation for the last 10 years or so without issues.

  • Yup. I'm on my second now because of an international relocation, but the first one is still going strong at my dad's. Bought that thing 14 years ago, was the first series that came with network enabled printing instead of USB (though it has a port).

  • The Orange Overlord himself, most likely.

  • No. If I lose focus or get distracted, it means whatever I'm watching isn't worth it, and I'll switch to something else.

  • They were both good, but not really long. I got portal one and two as a bundle and completed them in a single Saturday.

  • What land? The booby trapped gravel pit that used to be Gaza? Nobody wants that.

  • What? As long as I program the route before starting and don't touch my phone until I arrive, nothing happens.

  • I'm using organic maps, and a simple phone holder does the trick in the car. No need for the on-screen navigation.

  • Thanks, maybe time to try again. I used it years ago but the results were not great.

  • What are you using now? I've been toying with kagi for a while, but the idea of having to use an account that ties all my searches to me doesn't sit well with my sense of privacy, and none of the others get results remotely close to google.

  • Maybe on a nice day, but then really because I want to take a walk, and not out of necessity.
