  • It might be overkill, but I'll keep my overpriced bidet with heated water/seat. Cleaning is not that bad, I just do it the same time I clean the bowl.

  • Even some newer stuff running with Proton, like AoE4 or Company of Heroes 3. Basically these games will send each other inputs and expect the game to play out identically. If there are any slight differences due to how the math happens, the game will end because it detects a desync. Usually the solution is copying whatever DLL windows uses instead of relying on WINE.

  • So sure, you can be selfish. But even with a selfish attitude, ignoring responsibilities can have an impact on you. You're taking a risk, is it worth the potential consequences? Up to you. And yes, you can look at others and see some people get away with shit. But that doesn't imply you will.

On top of being selfish, you'll need a large ego to truly believe you will never have serious consequences.

  • Well relative to how organized militaries typically are, just the sheer beaucracy of it all, it is somewhat unorganized.

  • They don't use github, this is just a mirror. So people are just trolling the PRs I guess.

  • Airplanes, long distance busses, or trains?

Cars a good for long distance travel to the middle of nowhere. Which I personally rarely do, if I need to, I carpool or rent a car.

  • We have that law in Denver. I think most restaurants ignore it, but it's a start at least.

  • Nah not that detailed, IIRC they just spawn if people can't afford housing.

  • It Cities: Skylines 2, yes.

  • So why does Japan at 100V have electric kettles everywhere? It's a cultural reason not the electrical grid.

  • I've definitely been in a hostel where they should have had this sign. Woke up to my bunk rockin.

  • So my overpowered PC is so I don't lose focus due to loading times.

  • What? All the new American apartments I've seen are luxury and full of nice amenities. Which I think is a problem because none of it is affordable. Even older apartments get renovated and the rent shoots up. I would love to see some practical and efficient apartments.

This is Denver so your region my differ. From what I gather new bare bones apartments only exist in extreme cost of living areas like Sanfran or NYC.

  • No? Barcodes and QR codes do not have enough information for unique identification. (Well they could but they start getting bigger and bigger)

But the real issue is needing these codes tracked and audited in a public manner. Instead of having a third party company trusted with all the cheese, you use a Blockchain with a public ledger. This doesn't even require much processing power since there's no incentive to mine as many blocks as possible.

I hate cryptobros but logistics is a good use for the tech. Tech is tech, not all use cases are bad.
