  • If your physical and mental health are otherwise good take as much time as you like. Maybe that's ten minutes, maybe it's all weekend. Part of being human is building expertise on yourself 😁

  • But it is good for you, it's called rest.

  • Socialization and sex are good for mental health and longevity, stress reduction, reduces depression and anxiety and fights cognitive decline in old age. "Sex is to make babies" is stone weird natalist shit. It has many other functions.

As far as "things that fell good are bad for us" no. Moderation is necessary with many behaviors of course and some work needs to be done to facilitate health. Doing things that feel good is good for for us because the state of feeling good and well is healthy for us ... for the same reasons as sex and socialization are good. That's why our bodies make them fell good. That's the reason we should do them.

Im so confused, do you just like feeling bad about having fun?

  • Socialization and sex can be healthy and possibly good exercise.

Also exercise tends to feel good if you do it frequently enough.

  • Yeah... Not liking steak really was a frustrating experience growing up there. Similar experience I'm sure with other food stuff: "you just haven't had it prepared right" said 50th+ person who wants to cook me a medium rare steak with salt and pepper, oiled, over a charcoal barbeque only to be middling flavor, terribly chewy and get stuck between teeth.

  • But i could eat flavorful beans or lentils or berries. This corn, even off the cob, has wasted space on my plate. It is better made into proper corn foods like corn bread or tortillas.

  • Hrmmmm.... Neat!

  • Sorry maybe not awful per se, but tastes neutral, whole kernels get bits between the teeth and you have to floss after. Experience is less than mid but people claim it's like an orgasm in your mouth. Same thoughts about steak, or Batman movies.

  • I can go weeks, dozens of sleep cycles and never see a hint of instability with my Arch daily driver. It only needs a reboot after update and didn't even ask for it.

My windows computer (work, 2025 lenovo, fresh install) can't make it an hour without explorer crashing. They also fucked up task manager... The latest new bug is right and left click getting swapped requiring a reboot. I never imagined that was even possible.

  • There needs to be a financial benefit or punitive incentive for companies to move from conventional oil based products. Ethics or the viability of the planet just aren't viable grounds under capitalism.

  • Well it tastes awful so it's nice they found a use for it.

  • Referencing a late 90's infomercial to dunk on the equivalent of a 2015 Twitter convo. 👌

  • People are idiots and it's the designers' duty to remove opportunities for an idiot to hurt themselves up and just short of impacting function.

  • To be fair, given the snow indicating a cold environment, there's no indication the contents of the pot are warmer than room temperature.

  • That kid was a prodigy. Landed that nuke softer than that jet blue with the sideways landing gear.

  • I prefer complaining and screaming loudly while 'barely surviving'.

  • I guess you're right in the sense that neither could play audio off drivers packaged with install media in that era.

  • Different therapists may treat you differently. They should be very receptive to your needs on that. Ask them to treat you how you want. It's important that you feel they're being honest with you.

Result time depends on you. For example you may partly need validation that you are in fact, doing something about your problems and that thought can kick start it. Some things come in the first week. But you'll also hit the limit of plasticity in the brain where some things are just going to take 6 weeks or several months of dedicated effort to see results.
