  • Child marriage and rape (within marriage) are legal in far too many US States.

Slavery is allowed in far too many US States.

Brutalizing women (if you consider things like revocation of bodily autonomy or incarceration for miscarriages) is legal in far too many US States. If you consider unpunished crimes against women, though illegal, it is far too common in many US States.

Many landlords forbid having pets and there's little to no recourse for pets killed by the state.

  • Epstein's best friend, who was named orders of magnitude more times than anyone else in the Trump/Epstein files, who was himself credibly accused multiple times of sexual assault, spoken openly about wanting to rail his own daughter, who owned a beauty pageant where he would walk into the changing room, who bragged about "grabbing them by the pussy," who was in charge when Epstein was killed, who was in charge when videos of Epstein's cell where adulterated, who was in charge in covering up the actions of Epstein to protect wealthy donors, who has the most to lose from his actions relating to Epstein has just decided that he's absolved of all wrong doing.

  • Thank you Pascal, I've never thought of it this way before.

There's also a Scott Adams joke in there somewhere, I just couldn't figure it out.

    • Texas keeps trying to force Christianity into public schools
    • Texas has a bounty system for women who lose a child in childbirth
    • Texas continues to use the 13th loophole to compel labor without pay for prisoners
    • In Texas, emancipated minors and teens with parental permission can be married over the age of 16
    • Texas actually bans FGM, but they do allow male genital mutilation
    • Texas police do also shoot dogs.
  • They sure are bagging the "worst of the worst." Can you imagine trying to help someone out in America--horrifying!

  • Yes.

Any file can present with a ".torrent" extension.

The likelihood of an actual application/x-bittorrent being a virus is low. You're more likely to get a virus from the thing the torrent directs to.

  • Nah, I want them stripped of everything they own and must work menial jobs making what they paid their lowest earning employee for the rest of their natural life.

  • Godot is licensed as an "open source" project. That means the code that runs it is available for literally everyone to look at. Users are permitted to make changes to suit their needs and they have the option of asking the maintainers to consider adding those changes to the core project (through a pull request).

The advantage of this is that Godot can potentially get updates for close to free from talent from around the world, gradually improving based upon the dedication of people that just care about the project.

The downside is what you see here, stupid people thinking they are being helpful by having a computer spit out unverified, unorganized crap that the maintainers still have to look at to determine if it's worth going into the project.

  • If poor alignment is enough to blind someone when driving then the headlights are too bright. Driving is a very dynamic activity and inclines and bumps change where headlights are pointed constantly. Your headlights need to be dim enough that people can actually look at them without losing all their nighttime vision.

  • Nice hikes and you can play in the water!

  • I mean, he's not wrong, as much as I love dogs, I value the life of (most) humans much more.

Him vs dogs on the other hand ...

  • That's good, but also there's no fucking snow.

  • :kristi-noem-peek:

  • Because it takes a nation state backed psyop to be a good person.

  • The whole point of the game is to make animals cross, right?

  • A congregation member from a church gives food to a brown guy at the weekly potluck and suddenly the church is shutdown and the congregate owes $50,000 and is sent to prison for 5 years.

    Real class act there, OK.

  • M&Ms oughtn't be measured in units of kg.

  • Oh yeah, definitely. The wiring needs for an industrial space or event venue are different than a domicile, but I don't think anyone's buying audiophile snake oil for those. They really seem to market that kinda crap to the fool and their money crowd.
