  • There are configuration bundles that do a lot of the heavy lifting for you. Kickstart is the one I liked most but it’s one of the lighter ones so you’ll still have some setup to do. Check out Lazyvim if you want something that’s heavier but comes with a lot of (opinionated) configuration already handled.

    • demanded I weed our yard then charged me $180 anyway after I complied because they sent heir own guys out to trim a brush that wasn’t mentioned or previously considered our responsibility.
    • sent some guy out to update their power lines but didn’t tell anyone they’d be shutting the power off for several hours; my oxygen machine dependent step mother was already dead for a few months at that point so they didn’t kill her by shutting off her air while she was sleeping but they sure came close!
    • hooked our power up wrong and fried several appliances and outlets; fixed it with a “temporary” repair that is still in place nearly a year later. They also haven’t finished or continued the work they started to update the lines.
    • offered (twice) to send someone out to fix the outlets but never showed
    • lied and said they knocked but no one answered the first time they offered to fix the outlets.
    • raised the rent
    • about a dozen other small petty things like spitefully closing down amenities that got vandalized with a “this is why we can’t have nice things” style excuse.

    Right, it’s the animator’s faults for being so naive as to think an internationally successful business in a growing industry would be able to pay, at minimum, a living wage to the people who work in grueling conditions with tight deadlines to make their product. Their expectations are just too high, you see.

    • Plains, Fortuna, Deimos - max out faction rep then buy their equipment if it looks fun.
    • Eidolons - don’t bother
    • Arcanes - worry about them later, when you get to Cavia you can buy booster packs by melting dupes. And sometimes you can get them easily during events
    • Duviri - get incarnon adapters in steel path or warframe parts without RNG in normal
    • Sorties - skip if spy or radiation
    • Arena, conclave - don’t bother
    • Index - if you need credits

    Try to prioritize unlocking steel path and finding a load out that works there so you can start accumulating resources faster.

  • There’s a point in the movie Frank where the protagonist is talking to the parents of the mentally disabled musical savant he rode to fame and the subject eventually turns to his disability. The protagonist suggests to Frank’s parents that Frank’s experiences with mental illness are probably what made him so good at music. The parents object, and insist that he was always good at music; his illness only ever held him back.
