Sorry, I meant the mechanics of the election isn't inherently flawed (except in GA now where counties can just decide not to certify at will). I would agree that voting should be changed, nationwide, to ranked choice.

Aside from Trump and his ilk getting his ilk installed as election workers who have vowed to disrupt the election any way they can, how exactly is it "inherently" flawed? Pretty sure this way of thinking is why these people feel emboldened to question the elections. There was no inherent flaw in 2020. And every single court ruled as such.
Free speech is protection from government oppression. Last I checked, I'm not the government, neither is Lemmy, neither is any other site on the internet that doesn't end in .gov (typically), and this isn't a free speech issue despite what MAGA idiots would have people think. If the platform wants that shit there, so be it, and I won't use it when it's painted on their front page. I use Lemmy because I was here (on another instance originally) before the MAGA weirdos decided to join to spread their bullshit, so I've had time to curate -- apparently I have to do it again, or simply leave this instance. I was also alive well before the MAGA weirdos decided to spread their fascist Nazi propaganda all over the place. There was once a world war about that -- and they lost. I guess they don't like being losers.
Just because I use the internet (which I have been doing since only a few years after the WWW was invented), doesn't mean I have to tolerate bullshit when I see it. Perhaps if everyone was like this, the internet wouldn't be the shithole it has become.

Perhaps when things mature, I’ll give it another look. YouTube for me, when not signed in, does not have the sheer plethora of MAGA nonsense like this site does. Maybe it’s some regional algorithm, I don’t know, though I live in the south where MAGA idiocy runs rampant.
I take the path of least resistance when it comes to filtering out lies and garbage from my life. For now it’s simpler for me to just not browse the site than to weed out such content.
Good luck. My experience with vfio is that it works...ish. There are a lot of compromises still, depending on what kind of setup you really want. I've effectively said now that if the game doesn't work on Linux (which now, like you mentioned, is anti-cheat-related), then it's not worth playing. Windows Recall was enough to finally break me of this "Windows safety blanket" that I've had for 25 years of trying to game on Linux. With Proton and Glorious Eggroll's ge-proton, everything effectively just works. And one day, all this anti-cheat nonsense will be a thing of the past.
Sadly the Panera here has become garbage. The staff were seemingly wholly replaced, they look unhappy all the time, the food and ingredients have shrunk, and now you have to hope you hear them call your name so you can go pick up your food from a completely different counter (they used to bring it to your table which was a nice perk of going there), or stand around like an idiot for 10 minutes while your kid or significant other holds a table for you. And to top it off, the cinnamon roll changed again.
I don’t mind not having the food brought to me, but they could at least give us the hockey pucks again to alert us when the food is ready. Perhaps that’s just this specific store.
I used to love Panera. Maybe somewhere it’s still good.
