If there is a cli variant, why do you feel the need to do the same in a gui, its slower, most of the time far uglier... All in all just not as good as the cli tool
Btw: I was just stupid, and a bit to determined to install arch. So i wasted an hour on my internet connection (3 commands). And another four to find archinstall... This was 2 years ago...
Gentoo, if you have time you can mold it into whatever you need. And if you do it right its rock solid.
And if you dont have a shit ton of time use debian, its reliable, fast, and has a ton of support articles.
