  • also played the violent military-themed video game Call of Duty.

At least we know why he did it

  • Look, I'm not going to lie to you.

  • I coughed up the $7 for an extra month. it all seems to be there.

  • hot dangit you are correct. I read somewhere when searching that they trash it pretty quickly.

  • >asks about social skills on lemmy >suprised no one knows how to socialise

Literally pick up your phone once a week and call one of your friends just to see how they are going. Maybe ask them to catch up.

Maybe they’ll think it’s a bit odd to actually use the phone for talk but it is 100% better than messaging or swapping memes. And they’ll get use to it and you’ll be able to call them up for years to come and maybe they’ll call you.

Also beware of what “everyone” seems to be doing. Those that use ai or have relationships with ai are often posting or taking about. Most people aren’t getting too involved with ai and just don’t talk about itit.

  • There are heaps of better options.

If you work out how to get your friends and family to use any of them, please let me know.

  • Let’s them funnel some of that made up ai bubble money into the space race.

They have probably realised (or always knew) that ai wasn’t going to really make them the quadrillions they need to fill the hole in their soul.

They’d much rather be first in line when the solar landgrab begins

  • Of course not when Organic stupidity can be locally sourced anywhere.

  • The ministry of truth told us to… (These are all 1984 references just to make sure we are all on the same page)

  • We’ve always been at war with Eastasia

  • Yes but that applies to almost everything you did when you were 18.

  • This is peak drama kid. Why would it have to be sharp?

  • The currency of life is time,” one billionaire told JPMorgan. “It is not money.” “You think carefully about how you spend one dollar. You should think just as carefully as how you spend one hour,” they added.

    Based.

Consider this next time someone tries to offer you a non living wage for some bullshit job.

  • “Don't tell me what I want, you anti- American piece of shit! You terrorist!

You know, you use that word so much it's lost all meaning, Mr. P(resident)

It's like, at this point, what's a terrorist? It's a guy you don't like. Big deal.”

  • No that’s why they never release any data about bots. That way they can pretend every account is a real user.

  • Absolutely but so does reddit, they all make a great effort to not notice bot accounts.

It would be easy to identity many bots by their browsing habits and other digital markers but they obfuscate all data that may give an indication of real users because, as you say, any drop in reported users is a drop in ad value.

  • I think we all need to just start flooding us based sites with well wishes surrounding all our local and regional holidays. You never see a Chinese new year posts crack the main page on reddit

  • I mean it’s a good idea for a fringe groups looking for acceptance and/or to sow division.

Take a somewhat popular symbol, market hard so people start to associate it with you.

If the previous users hold onto it then they will be associated with you, even if they aren’t. Making you seem more popular.

look at all the fuss made around the Pepe memes.

  • Sounds like a good time to deploy a bunch of small raspberry pi vpn nodes at local libraries and other free wifi spots. I don’t know enough about ip to know if they can track you past that first hop
