  • I have an apostrophe and it's super annoying as some companies see it as a SQL injection hack and sanitize it.

    So I've received ID with Mc%20dole or they add a space in it. Or I'll get a work email with an apostrophe but I cant use it anywhere because sites have it disabled. And I've missed my flight because I changed my ticket once to add the apostrophe and the system just broke at the gate.

    Worse yet many flight companies have "you will not be able to board if your ID doesn't exactly reflect your details" but their form doesn't allow it. Even most forms for card payments don't allow it even though it's the name on my card.

  • No. I used to believe we were, I thought every generation the world was becoming more open and fighting for a better tomorrow.

    But not anymore, I think the rich has put short term profits over the needs of the world sooo much that it's placed the majority in a bad situation. And because of that, people can and will only be able to look out for themself first. Because they are in a situation where they have to.

    And I think we've gone past the point of return, where the future will continue to go negative, whether it be businesses destroying the society for profit, or the destruction of the planet or financial crises and hyper inflation from printing money, or just some outright war.

    The majority are so busy trying to put food on the table or get a roof over our head that we can no longer care for the rest of the world.

  • Youtube wants to own what you watch. Thats why they pivot so hard from showing you the subscriber list first and want to bank on their own algorithm to choose what you see.

    Once they do, they have a captured audience of millions they get to choose what you think, buy, see ads for and become addicted too.

  • Theres a few answrs to this

    1. It uses your movements before this to determine whether it feels like your a bot or not
    2. It makes you wait, the biggest issue with bots is they may try to log in say 50 different passwords for example, so if it takes 5 seconds to do each one it makes boting multiple acounts not worth it.
    3. Google uses catchphas with images to choose. They use this to train their own AI or data to sell

  • Yeah, imo they got worried that people would start asking government agencies to make legislation about things like this, so theyd rather backtrack now so they can keep it as part of their TOS.

  • I would definitely changw your password, also see if you can check the logs of login as it will sometimes show and you can see if the country aligns.

    For what its worth, if you think youre not being hacked. It sometimes ive seen it come up when people use a vpn and are connected by some sort of app. And it flags a 2fa to reconect. Its unlikely but i have seen it.

  • For what its worth to OP you might want to look at what laws apply in your area. Many countries may indeed be okay with you downloading a song you already own (as per transiet punk) BUT be against you breaking copyright protection (decrypting it).

  • Toothbrushing when taking a showwr, and using two bars of soap yo wash myself akimbo style.

    Bluetooth themometer for food so i can jusy stick it in and wait till its right and done, no more constantly checking.

    Robot vaccum has saved me a lot of time vaccuming.

    Airfryer has significanrly cut down my time cooking too.
