  • Tangent, there is a fun fantasy book series by Adrian Tchaikovsky where all the main characters are humanoids with bug qualities. So basically spiderman, antman, mantisman, etc. It is entertaining when you mix fantasy tropes (dueling for honour!) with mantis arm spikes...

  • This feels like an old school error, just with modern protection code.

Like in the Win95 days where the installer would ask for a serial number to install... But you could load the installer in a hex editor, look for the PKZ magic bytes, and run unzip on it. :)

  • Outer Worlds 2 just wasn't as good without his full time oversight.

  • The Matrix was right. Lynch's Dune was peak humanity.

  • Penner is a common Mennonite surname, and there are are a lot of Penners in Canada. Mennonite low German (Plautdietsch) is more weirder.

The wiki page has some good sample texts comparing it between Dutch and Low German.

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Plautdietsch

My surname (Unrau) is also Mennonite, but could be German.

    This concludes my TED talk.

  • Yeah, would be an interesting lawsuit if she had proof of that statement.

  • I mean, our courts publish proceedings. Wouldn't be hard to assemble a database from that info.

The accuracy of such a database (particularly when interpreted by an AI) would be hugely suspect. Also, hard to argue with a database when you're at the border being detained -- the guy detaining you didn't create the database.

    Whole thing reeks.

  • He misjudged his centre of mass. As many men do. ;)

  • I suspect this will happen more and more as large corporations try to shoehorn AI into literally every corner. Atlassian is equally guilty of this.

It's like Dead Internet Theory, but for code repos.

  • It's a pun!

  • Joke's on you! I'm a Betazoid. Captain, I feel... Intense... Scrolling.

  • Do you have a program to help you count sheep to fall asleep? Asking for a friend

  • This is very funny haha. It's like an exercise in spot the errors. Two bathtubs... Wait, is that a side view framed wall on the balcony mixed in with plan view...

  • There's a whole instance, ttrpg.network, which has a community for just about everything. Some of them are pretty quiet, but no one will object there.

  • Sounds like your wife should buy it for you as a gift ;)

  • Eladrin, basically

  • Aha, so it's treating the pasta as one would a fruit filled pierogi or crepe. Just a wheaty medium for delivery of fruity goodness.

  • Someone tell me more about pasta with strawberries please. I say this as a pineapple on pizza aficionado.
