  • I envision this as an army of Dalek like contraptions following around site workers and harrassing them with their paint ball guns.

  • I guess you're referring to this

I wouldn't be surprised if that confidential document outlining the sanctions was "accidentally" "leaked" on purpose to increase the pressure on him.

  • I'm curious how they managed to persuade him. I hope it's not by releasing of blocked funds so he can keep lining his pockets.

  • Unfortunately, it's pretty difficult to do one without the other. Especially if the profiteers are capable of making big donations to political parties.

  • Economically, they are quite similar. But the FDP largely lacks the moral bigotry typically found in conservatives.

  • The 1%, of course, and people who think they are or will belong to the 1% one day, but mostly it's just idiots who fall for their flashy campaigns, which are typically targeting first time voters.

  • The Economy™ the FDP is helping are a bunch of dodgy finance jugglers and tax dodgers who don't give a flying shit about long term prospects, as long as the figures for the next quarter make the line go up. Short term profits on The financial markets™ is all that counts for neoliberal scum like the FDP.

  • They are specifically targeting young people in their campaigns. Anyone who is old enough to have lived through one such cycle needs to be incredibly naive in order to fall for them again.

  • Fortunately by the looks of it they won’t get voted back into a position of power again.

They will come back. They have been playing this game for a long time already and know exactly what they are doing. Whenever they manage to get into power they'll ruthlessly abuse it to gain maximum benefits for their benefactors, no matter the (political) costs for themselves as a party. Afterwards, they lay low for a bit until people forget (most voters have a short memory), and lure the next generation of stupid first-time voters to vote for them via a flashy campaign. Then the cycle repeats itself.

  • fuck crooked ursula. she gave contracts state to ey! and kpmg when her stupid kids were interns there.

That's what she meant by "think of the children". Can't say she was insincere about that, then.

    obvious /s is obvious

  • Why would you freak out over people enjoying themselves?

  • Not really, Horses are actually becoming a pest in some places.

  • I thought that was an exclusively German custom, because for us Germans, the EU Commission pretty much equals a toxic waste dump for politicians who are so bad that they have become unusable for domestic purposes.

  • And everyone who is giving them a platform to spread their bullshit. They all have blood on their hands.

  • If history is to repeat itself properly, of course the German far right needs an Austrian to help them out.

  • hasn’t yet

I think "yet" is the keyword here. It's only a matter of time.

  • It's worse than that, most of their voters know well what they are voting for. The Nazi scum has been emboldened by the established parties and the media parroting the AfD's rhetoric, thanks to that, there is less stigma associated with being a Nazi and voting for a Nazi party.

  • How long should they keep waiting? Until the AfD has won the election and Höcke declares himself Führer? It would be a tiny bit too late by then.

  • Nope, if housing and cost of living is an actual problem for you, you're obviously too poor to be relevant to The Economy™ and its turmoils.
