  • I couldn’t get this to work with FreshRSS. Do you know how to integrate it with the FreshRSS api?

  • I think it’s just a place to start:

The browser is currently in Alpha stage

Planned support for systems in the near future: Linux GTK3/4…

  • I’m an American. Native English speaker. The subtitles are 10/10 for The Bureau. It just depends on if your friends like to watch shows that are subtitled.

  • … plans emerged last week when the Australian Signals Directorate (ASD) published guidance for High Assurance Cryptographic Equipment (HACE) – devices that send and/or receive sensitive information – that calls for disallowing the cryptographic algorithms SHA-256, RSA, ECDSA and ECDH, among others, by the end of this decade.

With regard to the algorithms used to hash data – particularly SHA-224 and SHA-256 – Buchanan expressed surprise that neither will be approved for use beyond 2030.

"The migration within five years will not be easy, as every single web connection currently uses ECDH and RSA/ECDSA," he wrote. "These methods are also used for many other parts of a secure infrastructure."

Looks like we could be in for interesting times.

  • According to analysts at Emarketer, from when Musk acquired X in 2022 until 2025, they expect X to have lost 7 million monthly active users in the U.S.

The declining user base pales in comparison to the decline of X's brand and value. According to a recent report from Brand Finance, X's brand is now worth 673 million. The brand was valued at $5.7 billion before Musk's takeover in 2022. When it comes to revenue, X's revenue fell by 40 percent when compared to the prior year based on internal company data from June 2024.

  • Headline says video was leaked. It was probably a private meeting. Agree that it was a stupid thing to say regardless.

  • Question about browsers: Do you have a preference of Firefox, Fennec or Iceraven?

Thanks for the tip about Web Archives. I'll put that on for sure. Was considering sideloading Bypass Paywalls Clean and they mentioned Iceraven, which I had never heard of.

Edit: BPC link goes to a *.ru TLD. Link is also on the BPC wikipedia page. They previously got booted from gitlab and github.

  • The apps are different on iOS bc of apple's walled garden. For example, NewPipe (in the other comment) is a music app on iOS and I didn't know about it before. The browser is locked to Safari or skins of safari, so extensions are pretty limited. Graphene gives a lot more options so I'm looking for those RE: piracy.

  • I'm unclear where you're redirecting from. If you're looking to redirect from Instagram profile pages to Piokok profile pages, then you'd want something like:

    • Example URL: https://www.instagram.com/linustorvalds
    • Include Pattern: https://www.instagram.com/*
    • Redirect to: https://www.piokok.com/profile$1
    • Choose Wildcard
    • Description: Redirect instagram profiles to Piokok profiles

Edit: for some reason I can't seem to remove the trailing / from www.instagram.com* You don't want the last backslash in that line. Nothing inbetween com*.

  • My racist/sexist/generally terrible uncle calls me liberal, brainwashed and woke, not open minded.

  • It made me happy too.

  • Have you tried deleting the docker config and starting with a fresh install?

  • Rather than focusing on where to look, better to focus on how to download. Automation is your friend. There is software (like the *arrs) which automate the downloading of content from multiple locations online.

  • If only there was a megathread about piracy. Oh wait, here it is.

  • I’ve watched enough NOVA specials to understand this meme

  • That’s why they implemented ranked choice

  • I’ve never had a problem with makemkv. I use it for everything. Even paid for a license lol.
