    • Overall debt grew by $93 billion in the last three months of 2024 -- and about half of that increase was new credit card debt.
    • Americans' total credit card balances now stand at a record-high $1.21 trillion.
    • Americans hold nearly $1.7 trillion in auto loan debt.
    • Americans' total household debt is $18.04 trillion -- including credit cards, mortgages, auto loans and student loans

    STUDENT DEBT:

    • Americans hold $1.62 trillion in student debt.
    • Missed federal student loan payments were not reported to credit bureaus between 2020Q2 and 2024Q3.
    • Consequently, less than % of aggregate student debt was reported 90+ days delinquent or in default in 2024Q4.
    • Missed federal student loan payments will likely begin appearing on reports beginning in 2025Q1.

  • I have been wondering the same thing. It would be useful to have an active docket of the DOJ for all cases against large corporations and how many now lose steam or have the lead attorneys replaced.

    I also worry about the whistleblower program. If you are a corporate whistleblower, if the government wins on your tip you get around 15%-ish of the takings. So, whistleblowing on something big enough can net you a few million USD or more. Something else to watch. I assume this will break quickly too under this administration.

    ( This is how a lot of modern information caches have been dropped too: you can put entire documents in a few pixels. Steganography is just the act of hiding something inside another object. It’s an older spy technique than classic cryptography )

    There’s been no evidence of this leading to a scam — romance or otherwise. So, now it’s a theory that this poor woman is most likely not aware and possibly being blackmailed.

    I was just memeing but the “rare” part more seriously would be a new photo drop that we haven’t had before. The newest photo is her looking down. All of the photos increasingly look like a hacked feed of a real person who is unaware they’re having their photo taken.

    The drive behind collecting information is more from a benevolent stance of trying to warn this real person irl that her likeness is being exploited.

  • I noticed the “Psychic.” At first I thought that it was alluding to people like me who are lawyers but have a strategic mind and fairly accurately predict outcome with good data and information.

    But then I immediately realized they’re just extremely dumb and dangerous. Might also have been trying to say psychotic/psychosis.

    If it stays as written, then I would like them try to prove the existence of psychics.

    It’s a troll as you say. But having watched the law for a long time and being in the law, it is highly likely that a group that is more competent will get a hold of this idea, draft a real version, and pump that legislation out to every state legislature.

    We have that being homosexual is a crime still on the books in most places. We are only 40 years old from homosexuality being considered a mental illness. This sort of thing is absolutely on the table.
