  • The US and it's people are often super loud. I say this as one who traveled and now lives in Japan. I didn't notice right away and had to work hard to lower my normal volume

  • They sell it at my supermarket in northern Japan. I've had it at a restaurant I think twice and it was ok; nothing to write home about but I didn't find it gamey or anything.

  • It's not the most popular but it is eaten. My local supermarket sells it.

  • "currency carry trade" was something that came up in a lot of discussions I saw.

  • Yeah, Google, Meta, Amazon, and probably others really need to get broken up and get proper antitrust treatment. I say this even as someone who holds stock (like a total of 5 shares, so not much) in a couple of those. I used to dream of working at Google as well, but that dream died quite some time ago based on their actions and culture.

  • Would you like fries with that for only a dollar more?

  • Better results

That's not generally my experience. I still try DDG first, but probably 20-25% of the time, I have to switch back to Google. Oddly, not for the stuff in Japanese or related to Japan, but more tech and other such.

  • Neither? I am more wary after the launch of 6 and the issues, but I also say 'neither' because I'm simply not in the market for a new device.

  • Headline is a bit disingenuous as it is the most points (because the total points is higher) but only the second highest percentage (1987 still 1st).

  • Arrest and jail each one. Don't make death threats at people.

  • No thanks :) I'll pick it back up in fall/winter when the work outside winds down.

  • I only got to act 2 and just got super busy so I have plenty left, heh

  • killing ab blockers

    I might finally get a six-pack!

  • As someone who started in tech support in 2000 and is a software developer now: absolutely not.

  • I used them for word processing stuff in school and it was fine. I was mostly working on Amiga at home at the time, moreso than DOS/Windows.

  • I don't think it adds anything and the extra button press probably reduces accessibility.

  • All I see in the thumbnail is delicious, forbidden makizushi

  • BG3, Skyrim, and I guess minecraft. If I can choose a non-game software, then probably the requirements for something like Godot and some downloaded documentation and libraries instead of minecraft.

  • I threw up in one once. I actually don't recall anything any worse than what it usually was. I actually went further into the evangelical baptist rabbit hole as my family drifted a bit from it, but that would reverse and end with me being an atheist-leaning agnostic.

I do remember Sunday school teachers being angry that I was allowed to have D&D books and games. In a different church when I was in middle or high school, I quoted the movie name "Oh God you Devil" and my buddy whose family took me to church slapped me. That was a good time. /s
