  • I’ve often wondered this very thing. Minus Urinals (which, do we really need them?), a toilet is pretty standard, they’re all in individual closets with doors, and no one is swinging their tits or cock around outside the stall…

    That said I’m not sure what they’re thinking here anyway… they want a biological male, but post-op trans woman on HRT hanging out in the men’s room. How’s that gonna work out any different than just having ungendered rooms in the first place? What is even the goal besides “shaming” the trans person? How does that help ANYONE? They’re not going to stop being trans because of it. And who is going to check or care?

    As a dude in a bathroom stall, I don’t care who’s shitting next to me as long as the door is closed and they clean up after themselves.

  • Much of what Trump has “undone” wasn’t undone legally. Many of the things he did requires congress to rollback and other things are caught up in courts. But in the mean time they happened so it will be potentially unable to be put back even if it is ordered so.

  • I actually just pulled some files off of one from 2004-ish. No issues. Found another one from 2008 about a year ago that had no issues as well. Not sure why… maybe because they were so much lower capacity? Like, one was 64MB and that was huge back then.

  • First off, I’m not here to defend anyone. Biden and the Democrats should have been further left, and told our supposed ally to pound sand when they wanted bombs for Gaza. But they are an ally, and these deals came from Congress, so the democrats have basically zero say in what actually happens there because the republicans hold enough power there to make it so.

    Secondly, don’t gaslight me. There’s plenty of news sites, it was pretty well covered, and I lived through it. I know what I read and saw. I don’t think it went far enough, and I’m pissed off it went the way it did, but it happened. A quick Google/bing/kagi search reveals plenty of results.

    Thirdly, it doesn’t really matter. If you have the choice between “we’re going to let them bomb the shit out of them” and “were probably going to let them bomb the shit out of them” you don’t really get a choice on that front. You can NEVER truly be a single issue voter anyway in the US, so the fact that you choose who you didn’t means you liked the rest of Trump’s Project 2025 platform as well. You choose who’s more closely aligned with what you think is best and then you petition your congressional representative with your position. And I know we’re all looking forward to see just how far down economic security can go.

    Gimme a break. I hate Biden but at least he was trying to talk Netanyahu down and setup a peace deal. Biden even held bombs back until the republicans threatened to impeach him. Do I think he should have stuck to his guns, absolutely, but it’s congress that makes those decisions, not the president. Either way, thanks for choosing the worst timeline, directly or indirectly it doesn’t matter at this point.

  • I completely agree, but every week or two is too long. At one point we had ours running builds + automated regression testing => release twice or more a day. Along with automatic change logs and monitoring, It was so nice. Tiny updates are always better to test and know exactly what/where/how a failure or positive change occurs when the cadence is that fast. The devs loved it, the QA loved it, and as a DevOps, I loved it. We were even able to do AB testing and rolling updates.

    It only got worse when management changed hands and some people decided on going agile in a “Scrum-but” method and it’s been a drag that sprints are 3 weeks long. Now releases take longer, have larger impact for better or worse, and regression testing is much more complex and I have to be more involved in releasing new code. The faster cadence meant it happened so often it was fully automated and I didn’t even know when most went out unless I was watching a dashboard.
