  • It's magic

  • Deserved. These companies need to find it out the hard way.

  • Initially, I had the same thought. However, given that it was clearly fake and meant to be humorous without causing any harm, I believe it's acceptable.

  • The link is broken, unfortunately

  • already done, even with images of lung cancer, addicted people don’t care and kids think it’s “cool” and “taboo”

    They're effective.

The effectiveness of tobacco warning labels has been studied extensively over the past 50 years, and research shows that they are generally effective in changing smoking attitudes and behaviors.[3][4][5] A 2009 science review determined that there is "clear evidence that tobacco package health warnings increase consumers' knowledge about the health consequences of tobacco use". The warning messages "contribute to changing consumers' attitudes towards tobacco use as well as changing consumers' behavior".[6]

    same as above.

Haven't seen them here in Austria/Germany. Also if you do that put websites not phone numbers there.

how are you going to catch them? who is gonna enforce the law, the chain smoker cop? you directly, going against an highly aggressive person who’s in the middle of nicotine withdrawal?

I mean I can still drive faster then allowed if nobody is watching. Should we stop enforcing speed limits because of that?

i’d personally say just fuck it and outlaw cigarettes and vapes entirely, they’re durgs after all, no?

It's way to ingrained into society to be outlawed completely.

I'm for controlled legalization of ALL drugs but keep them highly regulated. Drugs that directly harm others, like smoking should only be allowed in very specific locations like at home.

  • Taxes are fine but there are more effective ways.

    • Remove vending machines which provide this drug 24/7
    • move dispensary to drug stores
    • put BIG warning labels on packages and every single cigarette
    • prohibit smoking in ALL public spaces
    • prohibit smoking while driving
    • prohibit smoking while near vulnerable groups (kids, pregnant women, ill) even at home
    • put quit smoking programs onto every package
    • put even more money into prevention

  • We need an incognito mode for the incognito mode.

  • Ironically, I use incognito for that.

  • I'm glad the Nazi bar exists, because it gives the Nazis somewhere to go that's isolated and away from everyone else.

You never EVER give hateful ideologies room to breathe and organize. It spreads like a virus if you don't kill it on the spot.

  • Waymo also has much more reliable tech. To my knowledge waymos are level 4 while Tesla is only level 2 (which doesn't even qualify as autonomous)

  • I'd expect them having their own state controlled version

  • I mean, I partly agree with you. But I think this is more of a regulatory responsibility than an individual one. WhatsApp essentially functions like a social network, and even if someone wants to leave this shithole, it often comes with social consequences. Governments should step in to enforce cross-platform compatibility so that people can switch services without losing contact with family and friends.

  • I'd also consider writing a script with AI, which you don't understand, as vibe coding. Basically if you wouldn't be able to do it on your own it's vibe coding.

  • In the US maybe but not in Germany, Austria and probably most countries in Europe.

  • I'm not a lawyer but I suppose it would depend on the ToS and if the user agrees to the recording and processing. But if it allows the extraction of the real identity of the user it's probably a GDPR issue.

  • It wasn't just the replacement of jobs but also a drop in quality. Same as we see with AI.
