Signal also has been a leader when it comes to encryption and metadata protection. Their cryptographic protocols are public domain and are the gold standard for private messaging from pretty much every perspective other than decentralisation. (it's still centralised)
Signal is American but run by a non profit so it can't be sold and is open source under GPL3 without a CLA from what I can see so it's unlikely they would ever go closed source.
Organic maps (and now comaps) have a much better rendering engine. It's much faster, while also being much more legible. It's routing engine is also faster.
OsmAnd does have the upper hand when it wcomes to features though. I have both and use OsmaAnd when I need to export a route to GPX or see relief.
There is a ton of pressure, both social and financial on disabled/elderly people that could push them to be forced to take that option. Given that the current government is letting public healthcare rot this is not a good look.

Car dealerships are fair game I don't care what happens to cars there. But an individual's car, I wouldn't go beyond leaving notes on the windshield, otherwise you're just making people angry for no good reason. Before 2020 a lot of people may have bought a Tesla and while Musk was always fishy, at the time it wasn't any worse than most other car companies. And not everyone can "just sell" their cars. Cybertrucks though... These are actively dangerous and disabling them is a matter of public safety 😝
While macrons a more stable person than Trump or Lepen, he has almost as little respect for democracy and for the truth as them. And anyways in 2 years he's gone with significant odds that Lepen or Bardella get elected...
