  • How do you get your microphone option in the top right corner like that. Mine only shows up under the toolbar menu, after hitting the arrow key (top left corner)

  • I just get this on android.

On the desktop client, it also shows no devices

  • Are there any guides to get this working on windows, only using a usb tether connection? It seems to want the devices to be connected to the same network to talk to each other. Am I missing something?

  • rather not use google, but thank you.

  • Could that same bot (or a different bot even) be relegated to doing 'best of' lists or 'featured' based on different metrics like 'most commented'? Just a thought

  • Obviously, please share if you do!

I've only used a few so far. Mastodon, Kbin, and Lemmy. Lemmy is my daily driver; I'm not really a microblogging person.

I'm interested in Friendica, Piefed, and Pixelfed too. BookWyrm's concept is cool as shit, I just don't read enough books to make use of it (this needs to change). There is an idea I heard about a community driven recipe/cooking fediverse site, that I heard on a podcast (decentered podcast I think?) that sounded really cool and like something I'd probably use often.

  • Alexandrite for desktop, and eternity for Android. This pretty much fixed Lemmy for me, just wanted to throw that out there in case anyone still didn't know about them.

  • Would there be any way you could share your observations/opinions when you feel like you've gotten to that point? I'd like to hear comparison notes and stuff like that.

  • How come? Just curious

  • What's a CFPA indictment?

  • Wow, that's almost as fast as my phone's hotspot!!

  • Discourage the disruptuve behavior, encourage the creative behavior. Personally, I usually like seeing (and sometimes using) pictures or gifs in comments. I like the added expression that it can covey. I know that not everyone feels the same way about it though. Maybe there could be an option to turn on/off this feature from an individual basis?

  • Ok, it's a nice thought.

I'm trying not to be too negative here, but have you seen the innumerable graphs/charts that show the productivity increase vs. wage stagnation, etc.? Hard not to see how this would be abused immediately for corporate -profit$- instead of benefiting the workers.

  • and having the rest of the day for myself

    XD

  • Trades. Learn a trade. Electrician?

  • Would it still work for other privileges though?

  • This seems like a good opportunity to prove the resiliency of the protocol to me.

    We will weather this shit.

  • Thanks for the reply.

Out of the ones you listed there, the most appealing ones are the spring loaded truck tool box latch, and the marine one. The marine one definitely looks the best. I did find some similar ones at the hardware store, but haven't committed to anything yet.

I appreciate the curiosity, my camper isn't worth bragging about though. It's a financially detrimental burden, that wasn't built right (functionality wise or quality wise) and I'm just doing what I can right now to improve some of those things about it to make living easier for me. This model wasn't meant to be lived in, so much as just 'stayed in' for a couple of days at a time... Really, I should sell it and attempt something better but it's hard when I feel like I'm stuck in my current situation, and it's not really worth what I would need to sell it for.
