  • What do you think so far, any observations?

  • The green definitely came out better, though I think the blue could come out just as good too if it had the same transparency(?) to it? You probably already have an idea of what you'd do different next time, if I had to guess

  • Not that I'm against the seasonal theme or anything, but could the theme just be focused around what the new thumbnail picture should be?

Maybe 'build one of your favorite things that represents woodworking and the best one with the most votes gets to be the new thumbnail picture.' Or something like that 🤷‍♂️

  • I like and appreciate what this is doing for the cause, but personally i don't think I'd find myself wanting to play this.

I'd be curious to know what others think so far though. It does seem like I've been seeing more things on OSM too, so maybe it is helping?

  • I didn't know that, thanks for sharing

  • Thanks

  • Oh awesome! I didn't know that was a thing.

    Maybe I will do that

  • 🤣

    Much better, thanks

  • You really have to listen to what the onions are saying, to get the best results.

  • Lemmy > reddit

    😁

  • Nice! I'm excited for you! Hope it works out this time!

  • Why do you think Linux isn't ready for mainstream use? Just curious. edit: nevermind, I see you've already discussed this.

I went full switch recently, and haven't hit any major roadblocks yet. I feel like I could've done this years ago too.

  • Thanks for the dogtraining one. That's probably what I needed

  • ^this guy over here trying to sell organic cigarettes

    XD

  • I mean yeah, maybe it won't affect me directly, I like the instance I'm on and it's a pretty respectable one. However, indirectly, this is very relevant to any Fediverse user, regardless of the instance or platform they're using. Allowing abuses like this to happen without any pushback is a surefire way of turning this place into a shithole just like the rest of the internet. I appreciate the fact that, at least for now, it's different here.

Also, maybe this isn't my only homebase? Just saying.

  • This guy is a fucking hero for calling out these companies' bullshit practices like that. I don't really care if there's some misstep about the open source thing. The content that I've seen from him is still good in my opinion.

    Fuck Adobe.

  • I was under the impression that DM's on Mastodon (and Lemmy too) weren't ever stated as being secure and I think that they were both pretty transparent about this particular aspect.

  • Yeah, we're trying to get the fuck away from algorithms. That's what makes the fediverse such a big draw currently, for me.
