  • Same, but did op called OpenSUSE boring? But i'm on tumbleweed and not leap

  • I bought about 20 manga, manwha last week. Still a lot to read, but i could say a bit about the one i have read.

The Healer Consort/Koukyuu Ihiden Volume 3: In case you don't know it, it's a issekai, a nurse get reicanated, first just helping people in a small town, but then the prinz need help and she healed him. But he took her to the palace as a healing courtesan.

Volume 3 was nice shower her healing skills a bit better in this world.

Kimi ni Koisuru Satsujinki/Killers in Love Volume 2:

Well it's weird. No clue how to summarize it without spoiler, two highschooler come together and they start to kill people they have problems with. It's weird, probably that weirdness and who at least the male mc maybe slowly transform to someone crazy that i like. Well i don't know that's just my assumption that will happen.

Angnyeoneun Moraesigyereul Doedollinda/The Villainess Turns the Hourglass Volume 1:

I'm a bit obsessed with villainess stories, this is probably the first i start to read with a somewhat evil villainess. No issekai this time, it's with time travel as the title probably told you. And this villainess doesn't just to survive but revenge. Sound fun to i buy more volume, it's no new series, an already completly released as webtoon.

Tensei Shita Daiseijo wa, Seijo de Aru Koto o Hitakakusu: A Tale of the Great Saint/A Tale of the Secret Saint Volume 1:

A reborn sword saint that get quite strong. Probably nothing i continue to buy, i don't know yet. But the first volume didn't show something to exciting. The saint is not too overpowered yet so maybe there couldbe interresting battles and how her past, the comes back to her could be maybe interesting, but it's more typical fantasy overpowered mc story.

Ishigami Senki/(de: Die Legende der Steinkrieger) Volume 1:

A bit more interesting Fantasy story than the one above. These Steinkrieger (translated stone warriors) are warrior, that rescued the kindom in the past. But disappeared from the public as a legend. So with an upcoming conflict these stone power wielding warrior came back, one standing at the mc side. Already in volume 1 were some nice battles and the story could envolve to something interesting, maybe.

** Koisuru (Otome) no Tsukurikata/I Think I Turned My Childhood Friend into a Girl Volume 2:**

Dude want to make his male friend cute with makeup, making hair choosing cloths and friend want to be cute for him. Everything in this manga envolves arround this idea. It's nothing that surprises you, but read it if you want to see something cute. It's quite simple.

Oshi ni Amagami/Otaku Vampire’s Love Bite Volume 1:

Well this is kind of cute as well, bit not as much as the manga above. We have a really obsessed vampire otaku and a dude, her neighbor,

that get targeted to fast from vampires,

funny, cute story about that. Maybe will read more about this.

Chi o Hau Boukoku no Oujo/The Blood-Crawling Princess of a Ruined Country Volume 2-3:

Short warning before you look into this. This manga has a lot very brutal scenes with blood, rape and many cruel things more. It's drawn to feel kimd of disgusted from what you see. I was really unsure if i should continue this story. A princess lost her kingdom and to survive, she found a place in a city full of prostitues. She plans

revenge, but at the same time rescue people arround her.

Again, this manga is designed to show brutal disgusting people, that goes on in volume 2-3 of course, but at least got more exciting about the plot and has more action than the start.

  • I'm still surprised a military is using services like telegram or something else, doesn't matter. Self hosting is not that hard anymore.

  • I don't know if i want this game, i hope it's not just a clone of the persona/megami tensei formular and have something unique. Because i don't need more from Atlus, but i would appreciate a good turn based game that have some ideas that set up appart from other games.

  • I don't know about that, Phil has done a lot stupid stuff, but i expect worse. Phil was at least somewhat fond of gaming. The new person will see it only from a business perspective, will bring a lot AI into developement and is probably a better puppet to Nadela, which has unresonable expectations of win marging of XBox devision, which lead recelently to price rises of game pass and XBox. I never owned a XBox i just hope that the gaming devs at microsoft will be fine.

  • That's not surprising with their new multi platform approach. Just one thing.

In a recent interview with Automaton, Hamaguchi clarified that the team takes the relatively common practice of creating visual assets for its multiplatform games by targeting “high-end environments first,” then performing a “reduction” for less powerful platforms.

I heared from dev's it's easiert to target low end plattform and scale stuff up than the other way arround. Hope it runs well, not on PS5, probably runs alright, but on steam deck, switch 2 and low end pcs as well.

  • You don't have to do three playthroughs, it's one journey. Yes with some repeating parts, but if you like it's more like 1,5 playthroughs. But i tink as well it's a masterpiece

  • I'm still playing The Hundret Line: Last Defense Academy. But at least i'm able to say something about it. I finished the first part of the game and unsure how much i will be doing in the second half.

In case you haven't played the game, it's some kind of visual novel and tactical rpg in one. More visual novel in the second half of the game. And the tactical gameplay is more on the defensive side. You almost always have do defend the school or something else from dmg. I have played a lot tactial rpgs, and some of them had single defense missions, but usualy i would say The Hundret Line was different and interesting enough to differ from other games.

Besides the tactical gameplay of course there is a story, and it remind me of dangan ronpa, but probably isn't as crazy. All characters are exaggeratedly written, but still kind of logical, so some degree. I still need to play the big part of the story, so kinda exited and hope to get a good ending

  • thankYou

  • I don't get it. Of course you are allowed to post about Ys. I'm not native in english, if i do something wrong, please correct me

    rpgamer.com /2026/01/digimon-story-time-strangers-season-pass-dlc-pack-2-arriving-this-week/
  • i mean compared to other jrpgs in AA section that's good. But probably doesn't convince SE to make a new game

  • game i want to play for sure in the first few months

    • Chained Echoes
    • Fantasian Neo Dimension
    • Final Fantasy Tactics

as every year i play 1-2 Trails games, thought about the remake of the sky series, but i guess i rather go into daybreak first, so i don't have to wait.

For new games i'm only exited for the new Fire Emblem game and maybe Lost Hellden

  • World of JRPGs @lemmy.zip

What JRPGs do you plan to play 2026?

  • Sound like an nice journey through all games over the year

  • You probably right, that they got wrapped up in the studio's narrative. I can't for example understand how it get the awards for the best art direction, i think most of the enviroment is not to excited, i often get even lost in the dungeon because everything looks the same. But I'm also looking forward what Sandfall is doing next.

  • Clair Obscur Expédition 33: I’m struggling with it. I don’t like the dodge mechanic, it has way too much impact during battles, but I understand why people love it.

Octopath Traveller 2: I didn’t get very far, the gameplay loop felt too similar to the first game, the stories didn’t drag me in. Pretty though.

Get out of my head, seriously could be exactly my thoughts.

    What's your #1? Do i miss something?

  • I guess i start with my quite weak gaming year 2025 in comparison to my other years. My games were

    • Ethernights
    • Clair Obscure: Expedition 33
    • Digimon Story Time Strangers
    • The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie
    • Octopath Traveler II
    • A Hundret Line: Last Defense Academy
    • 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim
    • Fire Emblem Engage (flier only)

I say it's a weak year because i haven't finished 3 games on this list, even though i want to. That's all because of personal stuff, but i want to play more games 2026 again.

I can't even say which is my favorite, Clair Obscure: Expedition 33 is received a ridicilous amout of awards, but it think it's hype is a bit annoying, because i think of it of a very good game, but not exceptional.

The Legend of Heroes: Trails into Reverie is not the strongest trails title for me. It's again a good game in my opinion, but i expect more of the finish of act 1, but Trails of Cold Steel III/IV and Trails to Azure are better.

Maybe it will be A Hundret Line: Last Defense Academy, but haven't finished it.

Digimon, maybe i was for sure the fastest i have finished because irl reasons and felt the best to play at the moment. Let's say Digimon Story Time Strangers is my favorite because it was there at the best time to play it, not because it's the best game.

What JRPGs have you played 2025?

  • Does the Garden of Sinners series count. I mean that's all movies with the longest 120 minutes. But it's kind of a very long series
