    i want to check out mailo because they support custom domains and have catchall functionality and are in the EU (like tuta) but allow third party clients

  • for anyone who's looking for alternatives and doesn't fear the shell i really recommend Helix. it's like vi* but in reverse and comes with batteries included, you only need to install the language servers (and maybe the grammars depending on your distro

    there's also evil-helix which mimmicks vi style keybindings and more

  • it can be relatively easy to get linux in chromebooks, i love them

    i bought an Acer CB311 intel (x86) second hand for half the price and put linux on it like 4 years ago, it was my main computer until last year my dog knocked a glass of water next to it (it's alive but i messed up the screen and keyboar using the blow drier)

    after that i bought a new acer CB314 (arm cpu) and have been really happy with it

    longest baterry lives ive seen and they are perfect for some light development

  • that's true, but from what i've seen these gigantic cars really don't offer that much more space; if space/capacity was really a concern family buses/vans whatever would be much more popular. where i live most people i see on SUVs are alone on their car, bigger families just get a Citroen Berlingo <3

  • not USanian but afaik cars got so big over there because trucks (being work vehicles) have less (environmental, safety, ...) regulations than cars, that's why SUVs got so popular, manufacturers pushed them onto public. as long as the base for the vehicle is that of a truck they are legally exempt from many limits.

  • hi! im afraid it's just one screen and 3 screenshots of it stiched together. it's just an external monitor with vga, i wanted to use my vertical monitor with the thinkpad dock too (dvi cable) but it doesnt work (maybe it wasnt meant to be used like that?)
