  • Dont skimp on ssd for games. Large sata is fine. Hdd for games is not fine. Get worse anything else instead . Loadings are gonna be the death of you.

  • Also isnt is because subsides on electric cars ended so either A everyone bought while you could get them cheaper so the demand has fallen of B they are more expensive so naturaly pepole are picking cheaper car. It doesnt really matter if car will save you 30000 thousands euro throught it lifetime on fuel if you dont have 30000 more to spend.

Ultimately we will see in a year whetewer electric cars just went to its natural equlibrium without subsidies and its share will continue to rise once again or its an actual trend.

  • Finance courses promoted by various youtubers.

  • Im 90% sure the case with keto is the same as with ozempic. It is a fairly specilized diet that by coincidence works fairly well for losing weight. From the little i read its apparently for the same reason osempic works. It leads to loss of apetite.

  • Wait what has the Amazon done with kindle and ai ?

  • Oooh is that why ipv6 adoption is so regional ( Based on https://www.google.com/intl/en/ipv6/statistics.html ) . Like france ,germany or india having more than 70 % while italy or poland hanging below 20% ? Also judging from this site it seems like ipv6 is actually getting adopted at quite the rapid pace. Even if some regions are faring way worse than the others.

  • wait does cofee dosent taste sour to other pepole ?

  • I think pepole on lemmy vastly overestimate how incredibly non technical the vast majority of population is. Including potential criminals. Still a stupid law tho.

  • Obviusly beacuse kill process or kill child sounds bad so they had to find a synonym you silly goose.

  • But then how would you launch nukes on orbit without the risk of accudental nuclear explosion?

  • He has a point tho. The amount of copy pasting random shit from the internet into the console is way too comon if you go down the rabbit hole on some issues with the system and find a solution on some abandoned by god itself linux forum. To be fair its usualy just a comand that does shit for you in 5 seconds so you dont have to use gui buuut it does happen and i can tell what this stuff does but the average user likley dosent . Alghtough it might be less common today. Its been quite a long time since i last broke my system.

  • Oh yeach i specificaly asked this question due to frustraions in using warpinator. It constantly stopped. Probably because my network is horrible ( the usual case of a crap router provided by isp. And to add to the frustration its the T-Mobile odu idu unit so its also under double NAT alghtough that part shouldnt matter in sending files through local network ).

  • Have you tried because of lemmy? Or was it something you flirted with before. Because your post do scream im secretly a technical person

  • Yup. Thats just enterprise software for you. Something was made requiremnts changed, and then changed again and then ypu have duct tape on top of a duct tape with a duct tape holding those duct tapes and a touch of super glu here and there. Also ducttapes are microscopic in size but the sheer quantity of them is unimaginable.

  • Hmm but in a server enviroment wouldnt it be possible for ssd to reach their wear level much faster and therefor fail due to that ( depending on the workload of course ).

  • I do certainly see a big quality improvment

  • So a linux user

  • Yup. Its not uncommon for Windows to have to run 20+ year old app maintained(or not) by blood and tears of some poor interns

  • Or work for a software development related to finance and bookkeeping so you get the downsides of both.
