At least China never invaded us or imposed unjustified tariffs. Duties are a tool, they can actually be constructive but heck it just makes no sense to use them as a political weapon to intimidate YOUR OWN ALLIES
Instead of hating on this, we should at least be happy about such a breakthrough. It's not only about being able to use that specific kind of software on Linux, but about making the transition as smooth as possible! If people were able to bring their workflow over to Linux and then gradually make the switch to free and open source software (which is what happens 99% of the times when a NORMAL and NON tech savvy user manages to switch to Linux) then it's fine.
This is a mean, not the goal. You gotta consider that many companies require it.
You don't have to be a Zionist to support the fall of the Iranian regime. In my university there's a fairly large Iranian community and bro they are begging for Donald Trump not only to bomb, but to even straight up start a full scale invasion. Especially women are so fed up man
The thing is that I kinda dont like the idea of stopping people from freely expressing themselves, but I do agree to the fact that allowing them to be verified might be another small piece of legitimizaiton. We shoudl all be defending democracy, but when does tollerating intollerants become harmfui? A tolerant society shouldn't tolerate intolerant people
China has got a lot of issues bro I swear, including corruption. The difference is that there it's a felony punished with jail while here its called ""Entrepreneurial spirit". They don't call them "unelected despots" or "oligarchs" but "Legitimate self-made men"
China is destined to become a long lasting superpower because, unlike us, they don't open 10000 fronts of war at once and they know how to manage things peacefully and diplomatically
They are all losing their masks. The weakness and demagogy of Maduro's leadership, american entrism in the opposition, the failure of international institutions etc . We are all fucked, the values we've grown up with and that we studied in school were LIES
I don't know man, but Lemmy and the Fediverse seems to be a more mature ecosystem than that. Digg just looks like a stripped-down version of Reddit with no specific feature
I don't think anyone would ever bot Lemmy bro. I guess we just gotta trust single instances
