  • there's going to be a significant increase in homeless grandparents

who do you think will be buying up all those homes, all that sweet easy money passive income generating real estate?

a handful of ultra wealthy parasites are looting the country just to add a few zeros to the ends of their bank accounts.

  • this is hilarious.

sadly though, Crowder would be licking those boots IRL.

remember when he tried to reenact George Floyd's murder by having his pissboy assistants pile on top of him, as "proof" that the police did nothing wrong?

right wing griftosphere millionaire entertainers will do almost anything for attention except "change their mind"

  • no, the land belongs to all Americans. it isn't "owned" because unlike private property, the land has multiple multiple layers of restrictions on how it can be leased, used, and preserved for the benefit of future generations.

it's the opposite of the common definition of "owned".

    it is held in trust.

  • getting organized can be as simple as building strong relationships with allies. and there's no better way to make allies than giving aid and support to the people around you.

then, when shit hits the fan or action is needed, you won't be alone. in other words, sometimes you can stand up for yourself by standing up for others first.

  • we desperately need a workers party in this country. Bernie can't do it alone though. what can we do?

when will people snap and say '"enough is enough, we refuse to be poor and exploited". when will we empower a cross racial coalition the likes of which King and Hampton were murdered to prevent?

i just hope to see it in my lifetime.... but i have my doubts.

the future is looking bloodier by the minute.

  • federal workers are terrified right now that if they make one wrong step, they'll be on their asses, with families and mortgages depending on them to be perfect.

this email alone resulted in thousands of unplanned mandatory meetings with supervisors, checking with coworkers, asking PR and internal communications experts, consulting with division directors, on and on up the chain of command.

trust me, they spent way more than 10 minutes, more like hours and hours per employee across the whole govt.

  • this article is academic mental masturbation and morally ridiculous.

he has it completely flipped. the author claims if UHC was doing crimes or breaching a contract or something, then it's easier to morally justify vigilantism. a kind of two wrongs make a right sophistry. and conversely, he claims that if UHC was not "commiting crimes" then vigilantism is indefensible. mmkay....

here's my take instead: if the actions of Thompson and UHC were illegal, there's little moral justification for using violence because there are in fact non violent enforcement mechanisms which can be directed to restore justice and reduce future harm to society. we can use protest, the courts, and legal principles to go after the criminal CEOs.

conversely, if the day-to-day normal operations of UHC under Thompson were completely LEGAL AND ABOVE PROSECUTION - then there is no process or remedy using laws available to restore justice and reduce harm. they will just keep killing people slowly forever. legally. in this scenario, (which is actually the situation as it exists in reality - oligarchical late stage capitalism), illegality and even violence become the only remaining available mechanisms to prevent harm (in this particular scenario, not universally). we are forced to either seek redress outside the law or accept unending harm to future generations.

violence must always be a last resort which should morally be avoided when other choices remain. it is precisely because the system has taken away all our power to legally correct these injustices, that actions such as corporate assassination can be morally justified.

succinctly: it is the combination of Kennedy's 'Those who make peaceful change impossible will make violent revolution inevitable.' with the moral principle that violence must only ever be used as a last resort in defense of self/others.

  • Get fucked, Muskrat!

  • that he's a foreign-born citizen matters so much less than he's an incompetent ketamine addicted billionaire narcissist. but I get it, something something right wing hypocrisy.

  • I don't think anyone really doubts that. entire 4000+ word think pieces decrying why "move fast, break things" doesn't work in govt are being written alongside hours+ long YouTube essays describing project 2025 goals to dismantle the state. you're not sharing a secret, you're describing what we see with our own eyes... well, I guess maybe apolitical brainwashed normies aren't aware.

but breaking shit isn't the actual GOAL, imo, at least not the whole goal. it's a methodology, a strategy perfected in silicon valley boardrooms unleashed into the realm of politics. it will merely pave the way for other goals down the road.

heritage foundation freaks might be content with dissolving government, but Thiel and Musk and others like them have much longer term plans than that. we need to focus on that while yes, simultaneously spreading the truth of what's happening to the normies.

  • Sorry officer, I've never seen this person in my life...

...and even if I did, I'm sure they didn't do it, and if they did do it, I'm sure it was self defense, and if it wasn't, well it must have been that the other guy really deserved it.

  • I want to reclaim this country so bad.

this is our homeland, we're not leaving it. we might be slaves under capitalism or whatever, but I don't have to be a docile slave. they're going to have to fight us for what little we have left.

  • thoughts and prayers bruh

  • meh. you're not a psycho.

compassion is a muscle. if you've never spent much time, dedication, or effort working on empathizing with other people you won't be good at it (or even think about it).

we just so happen to live in society where those skills are not as rewarded compared to being self centered, independent, and ruthless. conditions maketh the man. hang out with someone who's got a lot of compassion and concern for the feelings of others and you'll quickly realize what you thought was your personality is actually a learned maladaptive response to living in a cruel and apathetic world.

  • a singular politician. he's going to die on the job, in the middle of an impassioned speech on behalf of the working class. indefatigable. not even Lincoln or Kennedy had a fraction of the perseverance and consistency this man has demonstrated. a true public servant.

  • 🤡🤡🤡

  • source?

  • unlike fascists, we don't all agree we need to "get rid of" our political opponents but I do take your point. i would say they quickly become irrelevant once a movement latches on and changes the prevailing political winds. politicians, especially Dems, are cowards. they are like a flag in the wind. they will go wherever the fuck the wind tells them. and we, collectively, make the wind.
