Cool. I am not making demands of the developer. I’m just saying that his behavior is problematic as hell. Honestly, so is yours if you’re going to repeatedly dodge the point being made. Problematic behavior doesn’t get to be dismissed just because its open source. People are allowed to criticise something even if it is open source. That defense is worthless.

Invalid comparison. Rimu is not a simple admin, he is a dev of the leading alternate competitor to Lemmy and is personally hardcoding his bias into the project itself.

With how Rimu has been behaving recently, I wouldn’t be surprised if he just started screaming that the vulnerability doesn’t exist if you brought him up to him privately. He doesn’t listen to anyone but himself and pressure on his ego. Reasonable admins get reasonable responses. Tyrants can cry about it.

Blaze has lot all respect and credibility from me. He will criticize what he does not like and dismiss criticism of what he does. I used to think he was reasonable and at least listen to others but, from what I can tell, all he does is pretend to sit on the fence while having some pretty strong opinions with his toes in the grass.

Brother, Rimu is an enemy of the fediverse. Why? Because he re-created reddit. He basically reinvented shadow banning, controls the narrative of his instance, actively keeps spreading misinformation about other instances and users, will actively suppress certain instances using his platform and lashes out against criticism like a petty tyrant.

I’m tired of this nonsense that “We’re all here to leave reddit!” Yes. We are here to leave reddit. So stop giving Spez 2.0 a pass.

I’ve got no other explanation for why he’s banning users that he has already defederated from. The only way he could be coralling that list is if he’s looking at stuff from another instance and attempting to control the narrative for other admins.

The only thing I ever did was post screenshots of his own statements and evidence that he was either actively lying or being a confused old man.

He is not removing people for a coordinated harassment campaign. He is removing people to silence dissent and exert a stranglehold on his platform and his own ego.

PTB is, quite literally, not strong enough. He is an active danger to the entire fediverse as a whole. He is dragging down credibility of any instance that runs Piefed and has proven that not only is he a manchild incapable of regulating his own emotions and ego.

Piefed has become Chernobyl levels of radioactive. You can keep running a Piefed instance but you better expect questions on why you’re helping to further this narcissistic psychopaths control and influence.

It’s also kind of strange that Iso@lemy.lol is on that list. They’re a former admin of lemy.lol who had beef with Rimu but Rimu defederated from lemy.lol a while ago over their logo. The fact that he’s banning that user in amongst all the others kind of proves that this is a personal hitlist and not harassment. Otherwise, why are you banning a user that you’ve defederated from?

I don’t know. But it’s gotten to the point that I don’t trust any piefed instances anymore at all. Rimu pushed a piece of code into Piefed a few days ago specifically to silence criticism against him and to silently delete/block posts on Piefed. He is exerting such an extreme amount of control onto the entire platform itself that I cannot trust the platform itself.

Every piefed instance, as far as I’m concerned at this point, comes with an enormous asterisk.

Iso@lemy.lol is the former admin of lemy.lol. It’s also a bit odd because Piefed.social defederated from lemy.lol over their logo and Iso has told Rimu to go fuck himself a few times over it. The fact that he decided to block him here and now is telling because it proves its a personal hitlist and not coordinated harassment as he wants to claim. Otherwise, why wasn’t he blocked prior? And even then, why block an account now from a defederated instance?

Rimu is single handedly generating so much misinformation and nonsense that essentially anyone else who works on Piefed alongside of him is becoming radioactive. Not sure how much I want to trust someone who is willing to help further Rimu’s behavior. Working on Piefed used to be a bullet point and it is rapidly turning into an asterisk.
