  • How gender dysphoria manifests differs from individual to individual, people experience it in different way, particularly in regards to what someone struggles with: Someone may feel more dysphoric in regards to their face; others in regards to their chest;... And yeah, yearning for different genitals is definitely something that meets the criteria for gender dysphoria.

    Does that make you trans, nonbinary, something else? That's something nobody can tell you, because we do not know how strong your feelings are, how much they define you and what you make out of them. That's why the trans community usually avoids telling other people if they are trans or not - or deny anyone that label who claims it.

    If you wish to be trans nonbinary, then you are. If you think, these terms do not fit you, then you are not.

    Personally I struggled with similar feelings when I was younger. Fast forward and I am now fully transitioning, because I realized it was "not just that." I wanted it all. But that's my way to deal with my feelings. You may chose whatever path suits you and on that path you can try out what this thing or that and cast them off again if they do not feel right. It's a journey of self-discovery and - for better or worse - it's all up to you to discover.

    Die Gewerkschaften haben Anwälte an der Hand, deren einzige Aufgabe es ist Angestellten wir Dir beizustehen und Arbeitgeber wie Deinem die Hölle heiß zu machen. Auf deren Unterstützung zurückgreifen zu können, falls es hart-auf-hart kommt, macht einen großen Unterschied. Davon mal abgesehen, dass Du Dich dort auch beraten lassen kannst und überhaupt Leute findest, mit denen Du über sowas reden kannst.

  • I don't know where I heard this, but it's a lesson I have taken in: Nature does not strive for perfection, all it requires is a "good enough".

    And that may very well be one of the reasons why so many people (the worst kind of atheists and christian supremacists among them) are challenged by the existence of queer people: They consider humans to be the pinnacle of creation/evolution and the messy reality of queer people's existence undermines the core of their beliefs. Yet humans are flawed, inherently messy creatures and in that messiness grow strange, often beautiful flowers.

  • How long does it take to start feeling emotional changes vs experiencing irreversible physical changes on HRT?

  • The question is somewhat difficult to answer, because the reactions to HRT are very individual. They depend on things like your age, your genetic make-up and the kind of HRT you get (what kind of drugs, what dosage, etc.)

    To put things as general as possible: If you start HRT you may first feel euphoria, which is (more often than not) a purely psychological reaction. The actual effects of HRT will usually begin to manifest after a few weeks (once again: highly depending on what you are taking and how your body reacts to it). Unlike the initial psychological effect this will usually be more gradual, as your body and mind "ease into" their new state of being.

    The obvious physical effects usually take months to manifest (growth of breast tissue, etc), though infertility can come earlier, particularly if you take anti-androgens or progesterone.

    Because you specifically asked about sperm, the effects of HRT are (mostly) reversible in that regard, particularly if you haven't taken HRT for long. Some people can become fertile after months, sometimes even years of HRT, once they stop taking it.

    So: Yes, most people can stop HRT for a while, freeze some sperm and then go back on. There are no guarantees, but it works far more often than not.
