politics @lemmy.world•'2026 will be a blood bath': MAGA says 'warning signs are flashing' after blowout losses
1·4 days agoThe Republicans have literally rigged the game and are making sure they are dealt winning hands, but your feelings tell you elections are completely legitimate and there’s “a 50% fair chance of winning”.
You completely ignored my comment, deny shared reality and supporting facts, then repeat the exact same nonsense. Are you Maga?

politics @lemmy.world•'2026 will be a blood bath': MAGA says 'warning signs are flashing' after blowout losses
11·5 days agoThe GQP doesn’t have anywhere near a 50% chance of winning unless they cheat, get activist judges to change existing laws, and flagrantly break the remaining laws. Because who’s going to stop them, the Supreme Court?

Move corporate HQ to Russia, place mirrors in orbit to block sunlight, then charge big $$$ to unblocked it. Profit.

politics @lemmy.world•'2026 will be a blood bath': MAGA says 'warning signs are flashing' after blowout losses
253·7 days agoNever underestimate what the GQP will do to prevent anything resembling a fair election. They will purge voter registrations by the millions, gerrymander district maps to make them look like spider webs, and make registering and voting damn near impossible.
Republicans will burn the country to the ground to remain in power.

politics @lemmy.world•House Republicans exploring ways to prevent Mamdani from being sworn in as NYC mayor if he wins on Election Day
9·9 days agoWe have a tyrannical minority that is actively changing laws so they can remain in power indefinitely. We have a packed Supreme Court that is literally ignoring the Constitution when the reason they exist is to protect it. If they hadn’t made Trump king he would not be in office, he’d be in criminal court.
Republicans have been virulently anti-democracy for decades. As far as the GQP is concerned the majority can go fuck themselves.

If Trump and his cult make the slightest concession the Dems will fold immediately. Then both sides will knock over the remaining pieces and fly back to their flocks to claim victory.

17·12 days agoSamsung did something similar with one of their tablets when they remotely removed an app that provided an IR remote function - a primary reason for my purchase. Samsung’s support not so politely told me, “Too fucking bad.” when I objected.
There was something I could do about it though. Even though a replacement 3rd party app was less than $5 I haven’t purchased another Samsung consumer product or service in almost a decade.

19·12 days agoIf you live in the U.S., you can also help by letting your representatives know about this. Here’s an ActionNetwork page that Fulu set up so that you can easily do so: https://actionnetwork.org/letters/right-to-repair-reform-section-1201-of-the-dmca
Do you still have a representative government where you live? I have a Republican House rep and trying to get him to do anything even remotely consumer friendly is just masochism.

6·12 days agoThat “Smart Energy” discount has shown up in mailings for the last few years and I’ve considered signing up despite my general dislike of allowing any company more control of my life than they already have.
Why do you say they’re a trap? Did they change your thermostat settings far more than they claim or pull other BS you didn’t expect?

14·12 days agoZ-wave thermostats don’t require Internet connectivity to function or control remotely. They do require something like Home Assistant for that remote control.
