    If you look from the front, current turn signals work for that already.

  • Wenn sich Züge auf dem Gleis befinden weiß das das System natürlich und lässt da dann nichts hinfahren.

    Bei Instandhaltung gibt es jetzt schon drölf Sicherheitsmechanismen die verhindern, dass ein Zug versehentlich auf eine Schiene fährt. Was lässt dich glauben, dass diese mit Automation plötzlich nicht mehr funktionieren?

    Und dass Dispatch einen Fehler machen kann ist doch überhaupt sogar ein Argument dafür. Das bedeutet, dass etwas manuell von einem Menschen gesteuert ist und somit Fehleranfällig.

    Menschen machen sehr viel mehr Leichtsinnsfehler als Automation. Bei Automation wird ein gravierender Fehler in den meisten Fällen genau einmal gemacht. Bei menschlichem Versagen immer wieder.

  • Beides ist auch ohne Automation ein Problem. Bäume sieht man viel zu spät um dafür zu bremsen, Züge haben sehr viel mehr Bremsweg als Sichtweite. Und Menschen sollen sich da nicht aufhalten. Ich weiß, ist makaber, aber wer sich am Gleis aufhält ist selbst Schuld.

    Auf der Autobahn sagt auch niemand was gegen selbstfahrende Autos weil sich da ja Menschen aufhalten könnten.

  • Das stimmt schon. Deshalb sind Bahnübergänge wichtig, da kann mit entsprechender Wahrscheinlichkeit tatsächlich etwas auf den Gleisen sein was ein Problem verursachen kann.

    Aber außerhalb von Bahnübergängen? Wo ist da das Problem?
