  • Every US presidential or congressional candidate need to hire interns to open up all the checks from aipac, for starters. And then they need to hire someone to watch those interns. And a full time nurse to treat paper cuts. Pretty soon its a staff of hundreds of people. These candidates arent going to 'bribe themselves' you know. This is big business.

But she was going to lose some votes anyway because of the far right Israeli war, that she could win back that number and more if she alters her position to one that resonates with more Americans around the legends we tell ourselves about who we are. These are votes in key swing states that she could gain.

    That loss of votes either way is on her and the cadre of scumbag consultants doing tactical spreadsheets based on issue support, weighing if they can keep that sweet sweet AIPAC money. You allow that because you are utterly terrified, and that part is understandable.

    Its complicated. They only become spoilers after the election is counted. On the days leading up to the election people not pledging their votes to one candidate or another are sought after, and sometimes that seeking takes the form or candidates doing desperate policy changes to bring their poll numbers up. Like we saw with Harris spouting off trying to appeal to gun nuts the other day. If enough Dem voters had stood up and said, "Hey stop it with the weapon shipments and at least be neutral in this because whats going on is not adhering to Who Americans are" then Harris would have felt pressure to stop the shipments, out of a once every 4 year fear that the people might be pissed at her. For the rest of the time our opinions dont matter for shit to party leadership.

    But to date she hasnt felt the pressure. The killing continues becasue we let it continue out of fear of trump winning. We dont trust that Harris is smart enough to get a message like, "hey cut that out", from us, but I bet she and her staff are smart enough if we could just come together and send the message. The fault here is on the voters for allowing Harris and Biden to do some flatly evil far right wing shit. We didnt even get bribed-- we're simply all terrified of trump so we let far right evil exist within a left leaning party.

  • I dont think you've been listening to them. One more time: They are effectively the same in supporting and enabling a far right wing israeli governments war crimes. They are not the same in most other things-- although Biden is fairly close to trump on immigration and abuse of the population by law enforcement.

    That should have been a disqualifying action for Biden running for future roles in government, but somehow it wasnt There are many other Dems who could have and should have had a chance to run. Its also a flagrant breaking of the Leahy laws. The fact that neither of those things had any consequences whatsoever is indicative of the DNC and our entire government being bought out by bribes. If you dont think thats a problem, then wait and see what the far right fascists buy from us next. They couldnt care less about Americans or our future.

    I imagine after the election we'll have our military dying over there to support their land theft and be the bully for their grudges and aspirations of more land. Hope you like war crimes because thats the only thing on the menu, and you all have insisted we eat here, this election and in all the elections that follow until this place shakes itself apart or becomes isolated like North Korea. We should all just learn Hebrew now so we can take the Israelis orders more effectively.

  • It was originally supposed to have tried more like 15000, but yes, ultimately a low couple hundred were tried, and then the rest were just dropped. Theres interesting history there, and it functioned more like propoganda than justice.

  • Few people seem to care. Most dem voters couldnt even bother to vote uncommitted in the dem primary, a completely free and risk free way to try to nudge Biden/Harris to stop taking bribes. They'll happily get online and bloviate how everyone else is a trumper if they dont get in line and vote harris asap, and thats the extent of their backbone. Sad world.   • I think it makes no difference whatsoever, when both are bought off by AIPAC money toward the same ends. But I do think there is only one that can conceivably be pressured to stop doing that, and only our every 4 year vote matters to them. Pushing on Trump is useless. This is your one chance to lift a finger to do the right thing with some pushback and demanding the shipments stop.
