  • I wish TextEdit supported markdown 🥹

  • Yeah from what I understand you can pull up, say the magic words, give no documentation of any type, then leave without the baby

  • I suppose adding “US” before “states” would have been a more inclusive language choice, but I was going for conciseness over inclusivity I guess. Using context, I feel that the meaning of my title is still clear.

I do however apologize to anyone that may be offended by my language choice!

  • Omg, that is insane! Imagine coming home from work like

“Honey, I dropped the baby off at the fire station today and the fireman yelled ‘BACK BACK NO TRADE BACK’ when I handed it over, so I’m pretty sure the decision is final. I hope you weren’t too attached to the babe.”

  • Word! Thank you for filling me in. As you can see from the little baby emoji next to my user, I’m new around here and just wanted to make sure I wasn’t missing some unspoken lem-cultural rule.

Heaters gonna heat, haters gonna hate, I shall never sweat it, sealed has been my fate ✝️

  • Well put! If they put the nuance in the title though, why would I click 🤣

  • Nice, thank you! That one worked!

Also, after reading, I have noting to rebut, I thought it was a balanced take.

My main thought is reflected in the article, which is basically privacy good, and that you can’t have the good without the bad. To me, that doesn’t make Monero something that shouldn’t exist, society just needs to accept that enabling privacy preservation comes with trade offs.

I think my only bone to pick here is that it throws all illicit usage of crypto in the same category, which just isn’t a good mental model. DNMs are just not bad for society on the same level that hundreds of millions of hacked money flowing in to North Korea’s missile program is. DNMs I feel like are a neutral force because in many ways they help reduce harm as it relates to drugs while also causing new harm through the dark SaSS products sold on there. NK building nukes is pure bad.

  • Link didn’t open for me, which is a shame because I wanted to rebut this 👀

  • I think a more appropriate post title would be “Researchers have identified and named the process that spawns hallucinations in LLMs, they still don’t know the cause though”

This article is like reading the headline “Researchers have identified the cause of AIDS” and then you open it up and the body is a bunch of science jargon that basically says HIV.

  • Better for most, but the rest area demon who is sustained on changing station sacrifices really hates this law.

  • LOLOLOL 🤣🤣🤪

Edit: I legit thought this joke was funny and reacted to indicate that… are we not supposed to laugh at the jokes here? What part of the assignment did I misunderstand to draw in the downvotes 🥹

  • Look- as a person who does use AI for work, I can say that AI is peak AI theater. It’s useful for a handful of stuff, but the rest is parlor tricks to help the big labs raise more money.

  • They kinda look like a cute gay couple in this picture

  • Back back no trade back!

  • Couldn’t hurt to try… sounds very old tho TBH. Have you tried a retirement home?

  • It’s clear if you click the link - the article will tell you if your inference skills fail you!

  • Wtf! That is insane 🤣 good read!

  • Yeah, I think my state of NC requires there to be a designated baby receiver on call at all times just in case someone pulls up with one that they need to get rid of.

  • Have you tried screaming “back back no trade back no trade back” when you drop them?

Sorry you missed the easy return window!

  • Today I Learned @lemmy.world

TIL You can leagally drop your baby off at the fire station in all 50 states
