  • what a cute kitty

  • I have a cheap, but really good bamboo cutting board from the dollar store and a tiny one from ikea that I use more often (because my kitchen is tinnnyyy). I also bought my knife from ikea a decade ago and I hone it before every use with an old steel I found in a thrift shop that was made in Sheffield. I say this because it seems to be better then any of the steels I bought new from any other store.

  • Trial and error. Lot's of meals that I just... forced down. Learned what I did wrong and changed it. But well, I don't really cook specific recipes, mostly I just boil things and know when to add stuff and what spices might go good with it, if any.

I'm happy other people had their parents to teach them but my parents mostly made stuff from boxes like hamburger helper and kraft dinner. Then they had all that free time to themselves to watch tv and get drunk.

  • What a nice person. Freaky, but nice.

  • I don't think most people will suddenly indulge their creative side, more likely they'll just behave much as they would if they had a day off, at least for the first year or so (video games, pizza, alcohol, etc.). After that, who knows. Kind of like someone's just retired, except for the whole population at relatively the same time... like no idea what would happen there lol. Definitely a societal shift at a massive scale.

I'm quite certain about one thing though: we'll get a hell of a lot more dank memes.

  • I speak for the plankton :(

  • IMO our population is already too high to be sustainable without capitalism grinding people down to survive off their blood and suffering. We would need to heavily automate most of the labour intensive industries like mining and especially farming; however, I don't think this will happen any time soon, partially in thanks to how the current system maintains the status quo and is very much regressive in that respect. There's a steep curve to get over to achieve this technologically, and I don't think we're that close to implementing it on such a massive scale to be effective.

I know of a few companies that are working on these issues; like one company that uses special suction cups on robotic arms to pick fruit and maybe humanoid robots will become rugged enough for continuous outdoor labour but from what I see and the amount of people working on this issue, I don't think we're even close.

We're trapped in the belly of this horrible machine, and the machine is bleeding to death.

*Especially because AIs are too inaccurate and energy intensive to be useful... it was a good idea but in practice, it's basically useless.

*Also I don't believe it's human nature to exploit other people, just how the current system works I guess. Human nature is picking berries, hunting animals, taking your kid fishing and just chilling with your community. I think your idea about human nature is skewed because very few people are able to experience a healthy community.

  • I would think basket weaving courses are an elective to take as alongside the normal courses. Ofc maybe some people take just those courses for the knowledge. Personally I want to weave my own laundry basket rather then keep buying cruddy plastic ones from walmart.

*Also, those courses might count toward a degree in Art Education, which, IIRC, is part of a psych degree in early childhood development. Really not sure about that though, but it could be something like that.

  • Dead. Life on Earth will be nothing more complex then algae.

  • Rest in Peace Horsey :(

  • "Please make it easier for us to murder you or else we'll murder you."

  • Me: "I don't have social media."

    Some fascist: "You cannot enter."

  • I get that rejection thing, some friends and I were listening to spotify and they shoved in their AI "music" into our playlist, and after a bit everyone was confused on wtf it was... but yeah, hard to describe it. Like it's just wrong or gross even. Like you've just touched a wet rag that's been stuck in drain pipe and for some reason it's warm.

  • And yet they ban the sale of butt plugs in certain bases.

    Curious.

  • I am disheartened by the censor.

  • Bitch

  • That's against food safety regulations... :(

  • Fuck. The birds are fucking.

  • ITT: People that need to find a good therapist... :(
