  • There a lot of non AI implementations that would be more reliably logical, like presenting options in multiple groups instead of only having a single location buried in submenus.

Like mouse color and size could be in an appearence AND in a general mouse settings that includes mouse appearance and behavior. They could design it so the setting itself is self contained, so it can behave the same way no matter how it is grouped for presentation.

I would expect AI to make up illogical groupings, because it doesn't understand context.

  • I love how in settings all the different miuse options are spread out in different places!

Want to change mouse speed, cursor size, and color? We are going on an adventure!

  • Hey look, it worked!

  • Back around 2010 or so, I discovered that if you had a physical PC game that was also in Steam’s store, you could type in the serial number on the game box and it would register and add it to your Steam library.

There were a few older games I owned that had trouble with running well on newer hardware because of the messy manual updates. Did the seriel bumber i to steam and it installed and updated to a smooth running version on steam at no cost.

Yes, this tied the hard copy to the steam account so there was a loss of reselling unless they changed that at some point. But I never bothered with selling used games and these were old enough that nobody wanted them anyway so I got some free use out of something I was almost ready to throw out.

  • I think almost everyone is on board with ai as a tool used by people.

The pushback is against ai being used in a way that is mostly or fully automated withoit human confirmation. Or when ai is used to justify terrible practices by shifting the blame from the people doing those things, like blaming ai for denying medical care when humans were doing that already.

  • Does Harris count as spry and progressive?

    Surprisingly, yes!

I expected the Dems to support the same tired high road taking boring candidate so I wanted Biden to be kept around for brand recognition because that seemed to be the only thing the Dems would accept. I absolutely did not expect Kamala to come out guns blazing on memes, engaging the GOP on their level instead of taking the high road, and then picking the absolute best example of a human being possible as VP. I expected the Dems to discourage all of those things in favor of some stoic white guy safe choice.

I am extremely happy to have been wrong and it is great to see the Dems catch on that this kind of campaign will be successful.

  • You made a joke on accident.

  • Dead I am the rat

    Feast upon the cat

  • Thank you for the context. I never know what the youtube bigots look like.

  • Vance dead eyed fish smiles like the guy who drives all the women away from the game.

  • Everyone would see when Vance kicks another one of his harlots to the curb for trash day.

  • Extremely common.

    Republicans are just in denial.

  • We bought a bigger bed (king) so my wife could have her pillow castle. Totally worth it because I tend to toss and turn and no longer wake her up.

    Plus the dog has space!

  • Sorry

    Jump
  • Sorry for the late response.

  • They will never be royals (royals)

  • 85%+ of hydrogen production is currently from fossik fuels. While there is a forseeable future where solar and other green energy could be used, an immediate increase in hydrogen production would come 100% from fossil fuel producers.

So yeah, it is currently oil company propaganda from trying to find alternate revenue streams.

  • B A T T E R I E S

  • Not yet...

  • What do you mean hitting children teaches them that hitting is acceptable?

Next they will tell us that beating our wives for dinner being late is unacceptable!

  • Slaughter the majority of exaliating stock over the course of a year and sell the rest as pets.

Not actually serious, but all of the major meat producing animals are slaughtered before their first birthday so phasing it out would take care of the population without needing to release millions of stock.

The real question is whether the species should be reintroduced to nature or not. It isn't like there are wild cattle outside of Africa and maybe Asia other than buffalo anymore*. We would need to take the time to reintroduce feral livestock so they could adapt.

*that I can recall off the top of my head.
