  • Sheepskin chaps? Wow! I live in Basque country of US, I'm gonna have to ask some questions of some folks. I've only seen and used leather, but I'm not a working herder, either. This is an incredible picture for many reasons, I wonder how many black cowboys worked here then.

  • This would make a great interpretive exhibit, if it hasn't already been done.

  • It actually isn’t about anything

I always thought it was about track marks but I like this option better.

  • Reading these existential Calvin strips as a kid really made me think. I guess I'm old, too 😅 I wonder what my parents thought when I would read these.

  • I don't understand how this works, but I'm not I really sure I need to at a deep level because I believe in science. I hope to not need to interact with an oncologist, but if I do I'll have had a history of receiving the covid shot on the regular.

  • I don't remember purple.com but I probably put it in since it is the best color 💜 also didn't realise Lycos is still around. Too bad I used angelfire, not that anyone would care about my MIDIs.

  • There doesn't seem to be overlap from an etymological standpoint. Fascinating.

  • indigenous communities inside Russian colonies prefer North Asia over Siberia

I didn't know this, thanks! It makes me think about a documentary I watched (happy people of the taiga or something). I don't remember this coming up, but that wasn't what I remember that being about.

  • Either way, i haven't played anything from the Fallout franchise so I have enjoyed the reading. Too long on Linux and ignoring these things and not trying Wine...

  • 😅 I think I know what a FNV is but fail beyond that. I'm definitely not referencing a game but now have another three dog to look up

  • This is a much better version than the one involving three dogs that I heard about 30 years ago.

Thanks for the tips and discussion! Fdroid was incredibly slow to work with, but I have installed osmand with some additions and found that it can possibly replace Gaia. It has a photo layer option and many other things that ate helpful. I will need to spend more time with it, but I feel good about it!

Thanks for pushing me in this direction.

  • Reminds me of the song "Yo Estoy Aqui" from about 20 years ago.

  • I really like when this and the funny wildlife photos come out each year.

  • I am using websocket and don't see a large battery drain. Am I missing something by not setting up unified push?

  • Thanks for the encouragement! The one person is a key player in that network so maybe! Hard to fight with the apple folks.

  • Dang. I haven't had a console since NES and am bummed to hear that is a thing with a closed system at this point in time. NES only did that as it aged and we didn't blow the right way 😅

  • That sounds great! So far, after five years, I have won a single person. Even back when Signal worked as a more regular messenger. Happy for you 🙂

  • Sometimes the game would just quit. But I remember that being more of a thing when floppies were around and playing a game in DOS using a CD was stressing the system. Or that cheap 5 in 1 floppy game package that had some bad code.
