you can’t be attached to the child until they’re old enough to display personality, which comes way later than the toddler stage; I ha just can’t see myself having any attachment before their personality develops
If that's how you feel, then that's how you feel. I'm gonna hazard a guess that the vast majority of people, especially pregnant/miscarriage/parents do not feel this way.
We took our pup to see her mother at around 8 months. The moon didn't recognize her anymore I guess, and didn't like other female dogs and chased her under a table leaving our dog cowering and shaking. Was not the reunion we all expected
I remember when I was younger and would lay on my back throwing a baseball up in the air and catching it, that I could watch it go up and not follow it with my eyes as it goes down and still have my hand in the right spot to catch it

I brought those speakers and my discman to school in my backpack in high school to bump music during lunch
