  • I do not seek or want to tell others how to vote. I just look at the results and the people abstaining or voting trump or voting 3rd party should accept what they did: elect donald trump.

Just admit it, these people (possibly you as well?) fucked america over and the consequences will be dire. But accepting responsibility and acknowledging these people know what they did seems out of the question for some reason. It seems they rather would argue someone else did this, just as you seem to do. It's always someone else who 'blocks' you in doing the right thing. Now there are scores of people left in uncertainty and quite possibly face a horrendous time while the fascist is in office.

My message to people who made this choice: don't mope and moan, accept what you did and live with the outcome of your choices and what they will do to part of society who will not be able to defend themselves.

Imagine that, helping elect that fascist and then complain you had no other choice so hey, fuck all the vulnerable people who will suffer because of it, not my problem.

And now wanting to hide under the umbrella of righteousness because 'you had to make a stand', also hating that people point out that what you did was morally questionable. It has to mess with your head I imagine and what better defense is there then attack and blame others?

  • Hear Hear! Thank you for taking the time to voice the opinion of many. We should never relent and keep shining a light on these idiots and their moronic reasoning. They chose to not vote, vote jill stein or vote trump (all the same thing) and then want to reason about it? Justify it? They chose, they chose clearly and they knew what they did. Never let these fascist wannabees off the hook.

  • Typical fascist rhetoric

    Republican territory

I do believe @sexy_peach was not stuttering or being confused

  • I've been eying 3d printers for years before I finally bought one. My main argument for not buying one was always the same: I am not prepared to start tinkering with a utility device. It needs to be on a similar level of a laser printer. I send a job to print to that device and it prints, that's it. Not a 100% comparison of course but it does tell you what my mind set was.

Cue 1 year ago when I noticed the Bambu P1S. Looked at the specs, saw some youtube videos and decided that this might be the time, it is possibly close enough to being a simple usable device.I bought one and boy, did that device deliver. Load the right filament you want to use, send job to printer and it just prints. The quality is (for me at least) quite bizarre. Some parts I have printed look like it was formed by molding, it is that good.

Nothing but praise and a firm recommendation from me on a Bambu printer.

Note: I have no experience with any other brand (as I avoided all because of stated reasons and not wanting to tinker) and I currently have zero interest in any other brand due to being so happy with my P1S

  • It will most probably not limit itself with the UK.

The UK is just ripe for the plucking, that country has shown the ability to shoot themselves in the nuts and has proven to be able to elect nutjobs and/or a nutjob party. See Truss, Johnson, Sunak, etc.

Any country that shows social instability, a reasonably strong fascist movement and uproar against people from the left through MAGA terminology will be in his visor as a target. He will then endorse these via his platform and his fortune.

He is willing to see the world burn for personal gain. These gains will come through his companies located all over the world, hence his meddling with these countries.

  • I commend your ability to garner hope. It is misplaced in my opinion but I admire it none the less.

Won the presidencyWon the senateWon the houseWon the popular vote

Like I said, you have an admirable attitude to keep seeing hope, I on the other hand am a realist and see loss across the board.

The only positive for me is that I am old so I have seen shifts towards a alternate political spectrum before plus I am not American so I try to buffer myself as best I can to avoid mental anguish in seeing a country I admire(d) and love(d) slide into fascism. As per Winston Churchill : You can count on Americans doing the right thing, after exhausting all the other possibilities

I can only try to share your hope and place America in the "other possibilities" category at the moment and will rise to the occasion to be and do better.

For now I will be a casual onlooker and see what the current state of the US is, a choice of Americans to be governed by megalomaniac fascistic idiots. Who am I to deny them that choice? I have had no say in this choice so I will not be brought down mentally by the horror of said choice.

    Good luck!

  • You just had an election where all was known about trump and republicans/conservatives and had the chance to alter course and defeat fascism/racism.

They won and not just won, the fascists won by a huge margin and took all branches. Perhaps there will be some changes and alterations in the final results due to some corrections or whatever but bottom line is: America chose a fascist as president and a fascist party to support him in doing his bidding. It's not even a question anymore whether America is by and large a fascist and racist country, the cards went on the table and the results are in: it is.

You lost and it was democratic, this is what America wants. Buckle up, you are in for a nasty ride. You can thank the American electorate for that, i.e. America, your neighbors and fellow countrymen.

Your shit was collected, sorted and got together, just as the US wanted.

And before someone starts to harp on about interference or lack of votes due to apathy or some weird 3rd 'party' siphoning votes from the democrats. Does not matter one bit, these arguments hold no significant water, not enough to change the outcome. By letting yourself be influenced or staying at home or voting 'green' we can conclude that this is what America gravitates towards by dumbness, disinterest or being easily fooled.

Sorry for the wall of frustrated text, it just boggles the mind how a country can be this stupid...

  • You should, there are not many TV shows as re-watchable as Red Dwarf 😀

  • Ah yes, the famous escort boots as seen in the Series IV episode "Justice" of the TV show Red Dwarf! 😃

  • Not partisan, I cannot vote for one or the other. There is no need to defend as I encountered no attack. I am grown up.

Your response makes little sense to me. Just warning you about what is going to happen instead of what you propose might happen under AOC.

  • Keep a close eye on that Green party, my guess is that you will see and hear nothing for 3.5 years and then they magically start bleating again in the next presidential election.

In fact, I would put money on it but the betting offices are no fools and do not take that particular bet.

  • You should worry about how the new president, congress and house will do to you so hard before you start to complain about some futuristic fantasy scenario. After the burning pain you will wish, nay pray, for an AOC run government as an alternative. Perceived AOC 'troubles' will positively feel like Aloe Vera for that burning spot where the sun don't shine. But first, the relentlessness pounding you will take for 4 years straight.

Ehm, and its not that you voted for the orange clown, did you? Perhaps you are an abstain vote? Could this be a self inflicted pain I wonder?

  • You are 100% correct. Where they do have a choice is where to practice. Leave Texas and let them figure it out by themselves. Doctors are not obligated to work in Texas so bleeding the state dry (no pun intended) of medical professionals, it is a strategy the medical field could employ if they choose to do so. Doctors and nurses leaving in droves sends a message. Stating a lack of working conditions due to state enforced measures is a very valid excuse imho.

Never going to happen, I know...

  • Well, as long as they forgo on the principle of Wabi-sabi as we do not need that mindset in space and your life depends on it.

  • Trump voters are dumb but I have to say, people voting for this woman are an unholy mix of supreme arrogance and supreme stupidity. Trump voters are right up there but I still give the edge to Jill Stein voters.

This is because of their conviction and belief that they are on the right side of the spectrum and will deny anything thrown at them to show what she is and what her purpose is. This is the arrogance and stupidity combined. Heck, the campaign spoke person even said it out loud; Jill Stein is there in the mix to prevent a Kamala win. Yet they still close their eyes and ears and vote for that russian stooge. Incredible.

  • Thanks! I think @lemonmelon explained it well. Seems I was skirting the definition by a whisker and got away with it but still failed as a joke or pun should be understandable without having to pull out a Latin dictionary 😀

  • Thanks for the extensive, informative and complete reply! Very helpful in trying to understand the nuances of the English language.

  • Question: I thought to 'transpire' could mean 'shedding moisture' and/or 'things that happened or are revealed'

English is not my first language though so there's that

  • Sweat shaming, never did I think this would transpire here…

  • "shut up about it, I'm talking"

Please cite or quote the outlet where this was recorded, I want to see proof that she said this, like literally.

If you cannot do this well then....you are a liar. Why you would do this I have no idea (but I can speculate and see red hats in my crystal ball).
