Church attendance and religious affiliation has been in decline in the US for years (though some surveys indicate that decline might finally be leveling off).
I think Apple will get out clean. They are trading some of that Google default search engine $$ for renting Google’s AI. Amazingly, Microsoft has pulled way back on AI investment as well.
I still think we need to find alternate homes for some of these animals elsewhere. There’s gotta be an uninhabited island or two for Lemurs. Manatees in Florida have the same problem.
Do dems have this solution? I haven’t seen or heard any of them campaigning on it. Last thing we got was ACA and even that had its public option pulled.
Lemmy devs really need to rethink the way this currently works. Users are trying to filter the signal to noise ratio on this platform, and this isn’t helping.
This stuff should be in your purse or backpack. And that pack should be locked in a drawer or locker. Junior high and older kids commonly steal drugs, money, and whatever else they can get their hands on. Little kids eat anything left unattended.
I read it. Seems to target franchises only. So if you’re a privately owned taco truck serving high calorie fried food, or a sugar-laden ice cream parlor you’re a-ok. But if you’re a franchise salad place you’re screwed.
My point being that it’s a slippery slope to target businesses based on “feelings” instead of facts. Taxing high calorie foods, or added sugars, or fried foods, or any number of health-related measurable things would probably be more productive than aiming at “fast food” or “franchises”.
