I've beeen a Synology user for a long time, but their practices have become more and more anti consumer as time has gone on. To go from DSM 6 to DSM 7 I was meant to buy all my security station license again. I downgraded again, it was painful.
I was running Apple WiFi routers for a good 20 years. Maybe 1/4 died in that time, but many ran 20+ years before I abandoned them for newer standards. Some are still going as whole house audio streamers.
I think it's a slightly different connotation. "China scientists" infers scientists residing in China while not presuming their ethnicity, while "Chinese scientists" implies their ethnicity but not their location.
EU governments are probably the only path to mainstream adoption for desktop Linux. If they all did it and invested in the features they needed, it could provide a valid option for mainstream office use.
