Not a single other chinese (or chinese-built) EV I've heard compares to that thing. Which is a shame bc the form factor is pretty cool, as is the battery/range
edit: on the flip side, Nissan (i think) have a really nice tone
Zeekr 001. Bane of my existence. They have the most annoying pedestrian alert noise on the fucking planet, I swear someone came up with it after reverse engineering a torture device.
Eh, they won't die, they'll just get taxed probably. Look at Italy for example, they charge for any power over 250hp + displacement. At the end of the day if we're not talking about city pollution cars pale in comparison to the shipping industry and airlines.
This was about sports cars right? Good luck taking your cayenne to a track day, I like dumb cars as much as the next person but it's like trying to enjoy a RSQ8 on a british b-road
At least there's a solid experience with an old gallardo/murcie/diablo. Until someone comes up with something miles ahead of ioniq 5 N levels of simulation every ev will feel the same.
Also hard disagree on the Porsche part, they make a shitload of trim levels then try to make every single one feel exclusive as shit. And there are tons of people who buy GT3/RS for appearance reasons and then complain they're not comfortable, like buddy you're doing it backwards. With Lambos you get the same baseline, and then they add a bit more power or 4 wheel drive on top for higher end models. Aventador J is powered by the same thing as a launch day Aventador for example.
If your point is that you technically own nothing and the government is all-seeing - that doesn't seem to stop the flow of information. We'll adapt just like we adapted to torrent trackers.
