  • What are you switching to, if you don't mind me asking?

  • You can get it from Google fonts which means you can easily download / import it into another application if that helps. One of the other replies also linked another source. I just provided the official link because they have a nice rationale on the design choices.

  • IDK I'm not affiliated with them but maybe use a throwaway email alias.

  • We are all cats in the same boat.

  • According to Wiktionary it's likely that that's a backronym but not confirmed. Could have come from Nancy/Nance or Ponce.

  • Just in case anyone hasn't already, don't read the Wikipedia article unless you are strong stomached. There are multiple excerpts of journals in there detailing some pretty gross details.

Worth noting however that according to the wiki multiple higher up officers were pardoned or had heavily reduced sentences by the allied forces in exchange for information and data of the experiments that took place there.

  • This is a community about earth science.

  • That reminds me of: Two threads a bar walk into.

  • Relax Icecreamius, at least you aren't Sorbetius.

  • Exactly.

  • Yeah he and Jack Whitehall are both shite and I never expected more from them to be honest.

  • He was in 28 Days Later, the Dark Knight trilogy, and Inception well before Peaky Blinders which were all very successful (perhaps 28 Days Later only in the UK). Granted he wasn't the lead in the Nolan films but I would contest that he wasn't famous before Peaky Blinders.

  • Entirely depends what is on the floor above that spot? Is there a bathroom above it or anything?

It's important to be in the right headspace and in a place you feel comfortable with. When you're more experienced this can be applied more loosely but for early experiments it's very important.

  • Claim that a bit flip (from 0-1) from a cosmic ray enabled a SuperMario64 runner to glitch through the ceiling.

Video of someone alledgedly recreating the bitflip here with side by side comparison: https://youtube.com/watch?v=X5cwuYFUUAY

Veritasium video about cosmic rays causing unexepected issues with computer memory which I think popularised this case: https://youtube.com/watch?v=AaZ_RSt0KP8

  • The inscription on one recovered fired casing said "Notices, bulges, OwO what's this?"

    ...really?!

  • That's where they send you when the syntax drives you insane.

  • believe me or don't

It doesnt really matter either way but I'm inclined to believe you because you aren't exactly going to get kudos for being close to reddit founders on the fediverse so this is more like a confession than a brag. FWIW I enjoyed the context.
