    "All persons born or naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof are citizens of the United States."

    The court has read that as: "All persons born" OR " naturalized in the United States and subject to the jurisdiction thereof".

    Trump wants it to read: "All persons born or naturalized in the United States" AND "subject to the jurisdiction thereof "

    His take: Anchor babies are not "Subject to the jurisdiction" and thus are not citizens.

  • I am hopeful that Trump will find that the filibuster is stopping him from doing the things he wants to do and will move to get rid of it. Hopefully right before the midterms. Then I hope democrats get the trifecta back and actually uses it for good - since republicans benefit from a non-working government the filibuster is win-win for them. The only way the left wins is if the filibuster falls and we are in control.

Sue when you must, support businesses, organizations, and politicians you agree with financially, vote in every election, don't add to any problem, and ignore Trump and his minions to the best extent you can.

  • I can kind of see the logic here. People think they interview the top three candidates and, if so, the interviewees have a high chance of actually getting hired. These would then be appropriate questions in that scenario.

    However, if they are interviewing 100 candidates in 4 hours then the appropriate place to find this info for the interviewee is the job posting. The hiring manager doesn't have time to answer 20 questions from 100 candidates and moreover if the information is on the job posting, then they either didn't read it or are basically asking if the interviewer is a liar to their face. Now, if it isn't on the job posting, well that is the person who posted it's fault and they should expect these questions to be asked OVER and OVER.

    If it is general questions like 6 or 7 that normally doesn't appear on job posting, the appropriate time to ask those questions (to a busy interviewer) is when a job offer is made to the interviewee.

He is like Regan at the end of his presidency: so out of it that everyone around him just did whatever they felt like they can get away with.   • I think the guys at TLDR news said it best: if Trump threatening to withhold aid was enough to get a cease-fire deal, then Biden HAD enough leverage this whole time to get one. He just DIDN'T USE IT.

    If this poll is to be believed (which is a big if), Biden and Harris let a fascist back into the whitehouse because they didn't want to stop a genocide.
